Medallion card

Just something I made a while ago that I thought I'd share.....

I made this design for my friend Anne for her birthday.  I made it with a silver base card and black sponging for her card, but I liked it so much I made it in a bunch of other colours, too - this black one is my favourite.

Like a lot of cards, this photo just doesn't do it justice.  The white dots are actually liquid pearls, and there is glitter that doesn't show up, either. Nor does the sheen of the silver ink.  Oh, well.

  1. This is stunning!! If this stamp is from Stampin' Up, then I know I have it and need to try to make something this wonderful.

I found your card in the Pre-Class Gallery over at the Summer Card Camp that Jennifer and Kristin are offering. I'm also enrolled and cant' wait for it to start tomorrow! I think it'll be awesome!!

    Happy Crafting,

  3. Yes this stamp is the medallion stamp from Stampin' Up - and it's become one of my favourites!

I took some plain black cardstock, and stamped the medallion in Versamark ink, then clear embossed. Then I sponged silver ink all over it, and wiped the excess away with a tissue. Then I picked out some detail on the medallion with Liquid Pearls and Clear Kindy Glitz (which doesn't show up incredibly well in the photo). The sentiment was stamped and embossed in silver.

Just got home from work to find the first email from the summer card camp - SO SO SO excited!!!!!!!
