CPS card sketch - a lifetime of Happiness

I've had this flocked SU paper since well before Christmas (from the Mocha Morning set), but I just opened the package this morning!  I'm trying very hard not to be as much of a paper hoarder as I have been in the past - and this paper is (was) a prime example of the type of paper I hoard - so gorgeous, it's almost too good to cut!   But cut it I did, and this is the result.

The sentiment is a Penny Black Stamp, "Happiness", and the flourishes around the sentiment are bits of a Hero Arts Stamp, "Elegant Brocade".  I followed this week's CPS Card Sketch (below) - well, I tweaked it a little bit :)  I've also shared this card on Make it Monday - thanks for the reminder, Lisa ;)

  4. Wow this is gorgeous. Love the design with those swirls and love how you've continued it onto the sentiment. Saw it on MIM and had to come in for a closer look. Glad I did. TFS. Bettina xx
