A very difficult card to make

This card looks simple enough, but was so hard to make. A friend requested a sympathy card, but a baby sympathy card.  A friend of hers has given birth to premmie twins, and one has tragically passed away, whilst the other is still fighting for life.  She wanted a card acknowledging the birth, but offering sympathy for the loss of a child.
This semtiment is from a Hero Arts clear set called "Remember".  The sentiment inside reads "our hearts and thoughts are with you" - the HA stamp reads "My heart and thoughts...", so I had to do some creative stamping, using some letters and words from other stamps in the set.

I'll be submitting this to Lilypad Cards Patterned paper challenge.

  1. Perfectly done for such a sad occasion.

  2. How lucky to have clever, caring card-making friends when specialised cards are called for. xx

  3. I can imagine how difficult it was to make this card. How dreadful for the parents.

    But, Michelle, you succeded!

  4. A beautiful card for a very sad occasion. Thinking of the parents.

  5. Michelle, I found your blog through the Clean and Simple Class, and love your style! Love the design of this card (makes this old quilter think of quilts) You've got a new follower!

Thank you so much for your comments - they always make my day!
