Gotta get started on my Christmas cards!!

I actually made this card MONTHS ago - I submitted it to a magazine call for submissions, but it wasn't picked up. I thought I'd post it in preparation for the Online Card Class, "Holiday Card Workshop", that begins next week - can't wait!

Thanks for visiting - have a great day :)

A baby card with no pale pink or blue

Hi, all,
here's a baby card I made using some American Crafts chipboard, some Lawn Fawn paper, and a Hero Arts stamp.

CASual Fridays and A Blog Named Hero

Hi, all!  Please check out my post today at A Blog Named Hero, using both Hero Arts and CASual Fridays stamps.  Here's a sneak peek:

Also, make sure you join in with our latest challenge, Envelopes! There's a Simon Says Stamp voucher up for grabs!  Yay!

I made these cards one day while my 2 eldest nieces, Lauren and Caitlin, were on school holidays.  I gave them the same challenge as I had - make a card that uses both CASual Fridays stamps and Hero Arts stamps.
This is what Caitie (who is 8) came up with, using CASual Fridays "Casual Elegance", and Hero Arts "Made with Love" and "Birthday Sayings":
And these 2 cards are by Lauren (who is 11) - I seriously wish I had made her first card myself!  She used CASual Fridays "CASual Elegance" and Hero Arts "Essential Messages", using a discontinued Stampin' Up ink, Purely Pomegranate.

This card, she used CASual Fridays "Amazeballs", and Hero Arts "Birthday Sayings".

I hope you are having a lovely day - thanks for visiting!  :)

Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn - a match made in heaven!

All of the design team members at A Blog Named Hero are so excited to be doing a collaboration with Lawn Fawn!  I just LOVE Lawn Fawn, and I have a bunch of their stamps, dies and papers.  I used a few different Lawn Fawn products on this card, along with a Hero Arts sentiment and Hero Arts Magical Background (one of my all-time favourite Hero Arts stamps!)
I don't know how well it shows in the photo, but I did the background by colouring in the Magical Background stamp in a few different colours of blue Distress Marker, and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls, so the little dots have a little shimmer to them :)

There's just something about the Blue Skies stamp set that makes me happy :)  And I always seem to end up with a rainbow of colours on the balloons!

White on white

This week's Keep It Simple challenge is "All is white".  I tend to think of weddings for white on white cards.  So that's what I did - a wedding card.

I'll also be submitting this card to Moxie Fab World's "Metal, wood and cork" Challenge for the metal bling-y buckle, and to the "Ready Made Embellishments" Challenge.  :)
