Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Guest Designer

I've been so excited to be a Guest Designer for Newton's Nook Designs for March!  I have a couple more cards for you today, using 2 of the March release stamp sets:  Spring Showers and Baskets of Wishes
This first one is pretty simple - I grabbed some patterned paper offcuts for strips at the top and bottom of the card. I chose some Copic Markers in colours that match the dots on the patterned paper to colour in the Newton's Nook image. Added some highlights using my Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pen and some faux stitching, and I was done!
For this next card, I wanted to use some of the smaller stamps from the "Baskets of Wishes" stamp set -  I inked the background panel with some Distress Inks, stamped the birdie and the musical note with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then coloured the birdie with a couple of Copics, before adding some star dust Stickles. I cut out some white cardstock to make a window that looks like a polaroid photo, stamped the sentiment on it, then adhered it over the inked panel onto a square white card base with some dimensional adhesive.

Make sure you visit Newton's Nook to see all their fabulous stamp sets, and keep an eye on their blog to see what their amazing design team have come up with! These stamp sets are available NOW!!!
Thanks so much to Jennifer, the owner of Newton's Nook Designs, for having me as your guest this month - I've had a ball!
Thanks so much for visiting - have a great day :)
