A very special masculine birthday card

I am interrupting my 1000th blog post week of celebrations to bring you a very special message.

A friend of mine, Heidi, who I've known since I was 11 years old, sent me a message on Facebook yesterday asking me to make a card for her to send to a man she's never met.  This man, Sheldon Gakowski, has terminal cancer. It is his birthday later this month, and his family believe that this may be the last birthday they celebrate with him.  So they've decided to celebrate his birthday for the entire month of August, and have asked the community to help.

That's where I come in.

They've asked people to send birthday cards to Sheldon.  And that's what I do. And that's what Heidi wanted to do.  So I made a card that Heidi will be sending to Sheldon.

And I know that's what a lot of my fellow cardmaking buddies do, too.  So it would be AWESOME if you could also make and send a card to Sheldon. He lives in Queensland, Australia. All of the information can be found in the two blog posts I have linked to below.

One more thing.  Please tell someone you love that you love them.  Today.

I will be sharing this card at CASology - there theme is "precious".  Yep.

    1. Hi, Kymona - thanks so much for your comment - I had to reply because I didn't use black embossing powder! I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, and embossed with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. :)
