Pink and purple sympathy

I have needed to make a few sympathy cards in the past 2 weeks - to me, they are the most difficult of cards to make.  When I made this one, I actually made three cards almost the same as each other.

I used Worn Lipstick and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks, watercoloured over some white embossed autumn leaves.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.
Here are the other two cards - I added some Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink to these ones.

I will be sharing this card at the Just Add Ink challenge blog for their Sympathy theme.

  1. Oh, Michelle I agree with you. Definitely the hardest cards to make. I love all three of yours...from the embossed leaves, to the gorgeous swirls of colour, and that sentiment is really lovely (cool S). Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week. x

  2. I know these are sad cards, and hard to make, but this is still just amazingly beautiful. The watercolour over the embossed leaves is so moody and elegaic: perfect for this type of card. I'm stunned! And it's a great sentiment too.

  3. Oh these are lovely - can I say that about a sympathy card? But they are so beautiful they will uplift someone's spirits I'm sure! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
