Challenge me a Christmas Card 6

Welcome back to another Challenge me a Christmas Card post! The card today was made when my crafty friend and Stampin' Up superstar, Sue Madex, challenged me to use non-Christmas product.  I thought this stencil called Mini Doodle Bloom from The Crafters Workshop looked kind of poinsettia-esque, so I decided to use it.  Then my teammate on the A Blog Named Hero Facebook team, Cindy Chiu, challenged me to use orange.  Now, orange is great in a rainbow (all colours are great in a rainbow!! LOL!), but it is not my favourite colour. So I decided to use orange in an ombre from red to yellow.
I used Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Abandoned Coral distress inks over the stencil, which I affixed over the card to match this week's challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

I'll be sharing this card at CAS(e) this sketch #198, and at Addicted to CAS for their Ombre challenge.

I'll also be sharing this card at The Flower Challenge - their theme is "A Special Occassion".

I had shared this card at Less is More, but I was told that it didn't qualify as a one layer card. Oh, well.

 Thanks for visiting :)

  1. What a fab card Michelle! The colours are simply gorgeous, and the bold script sentiment really draws the eye. Our challenge at Less is More is for one layer cards inspired by books or literature, so you might need to add a note to say what inspired this... beautiful design though and thanks for playing along :)

  5. I love your fantastic inky blended stencilling here Michelle, gorgeous colours and perfect swirly sentiment. The challenge at Less is More, as Esther pointed out, is one layer with a books / literature theme so thanks for adding little explanation. Unfortunately I think you may have added your stencilled panel to a cardbase which would make it not a one layer card but thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us. Sarah x
