One big hug

Sending this card to a crafty friend I've never met (except on the interwebs).
I used the Doodle Garden Background stamp from Catherine Pooler, coloured with Zig markers and perfect pearls in water. The sentiment is a die form CAS-ual Fridays, and a stamp from Simon Says Stamp.
I'll also be sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is Anything Goes.

Heartfelt sympathy

I hate making sympathy cards, but I'd rather make them when I don't need them than when I do.
I used leftovers from a green alcohol ink background I made a couple of months ago. I cut the Stained Glass Coverplate die from Catherine Pooler from white cardstock, and cut out the centre circle. I stamped and white embossed the sentiment from Reverse Confetti onto vellum, and adhered it over the alcohol ink/coverplate die panel using tiny dots of strong adhesive hidden behind the embossing. I finished with some sequins.
I'll also be sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is Anything Goes.

Fusion: Pink Phone

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!

I made a fusion of sketch and photo, but there's no phone, just the pink. I used floral stamps from Simon Says Stamp, and a sentiment from Papertey Ink.

Rainbow birthday circle

My hands are completely covered in alcohol inks - it's wonderful!
I added gold Minc foil from Heidi Swapp over the alcohol ink - it adds some lovely shine. I die cut the inky Yupo panel with a stitched circle die from Lil' Inkers, and the sentiment is from Altenew.
I'm playing along with CAS colours and sketches today:

Birthday love

I made this alcohol ink background a while ago (if you want to read the story about this background, check it out in THIS POST. Go ahead. I'll wait.)
So, you now know why I needed to cover up this background. And then this coverplate die from Catherine Pooler arrived in the mail and I was done!
The sentiment is a couple of dies from Simon Says Stamp, and the birthday stamp is from Altenew.

Pink and purple panel

I'm playing along with Just Us Girls "Prominently Purple" challenge today:
I used the Etched Flowers background stamp from My Favorite Things, coloured with Zig markers and Perfect Pearls and water. The Smile die is from Cutplorations, and the little stamped sentiment is from Hero Arts. The clear droplets are from Pretty Pink Posh.
And don't you just love a card that gives you two for the price of one?

Glittery happy 21st

I was asked today by a friend to make a 21st birthday card, so I decided to go glittery.
The glittery goodness isn't totally obvious from the first photo, so here's a shinier one!
I'll be sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is Sparkle and Shine.

Hugs

I received an order from Butterfly Reflections the other day, with this stamp from Catherine Pooler, and this die set from Pink & Main. (If you didn't already know, Pink and Main dies are ACTUALLY PINK!!! Fabulous!!!)
I decided to go with my favourite technique (embossing on watercolour card, then Zigs and heaps of water) with my favourite colour palette (i.e. rainbow).
I hope this card put a smile on your face!

Michele's 50th Birthday Blog Hop!

I'm part of a special blog hop today, to celebrate Michele Gross' 50th birthday! Hooray! Michele is so kind and generous, and I'm so glad to be a part of this celebration of her special birthday!
You should have arrived from Lori Kobular's blog - here's my card:
I made this card with a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks (worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron and broken china) using the ink smooshing technique. I then splattered some
perfect pearls mixed with water to add some shine, and then stamped the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays "Whole Shebang" in Versafine Onyx Black ink - that sentiment makes me both laugh and nod in agreement ;)

Next on the blog hop is the amazingly talented Laurel Beard - I can't wait to see what she has made!

Make sure you visit the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog for all the details - there are five $50 vouchers to be won to people who comment on the blog hop stops! You can find all of the details HERE.

I used the Layered Topiary set, with Cup o Joe, Field Greens, Lime Green and Soft Leaf inks. The background is the Dot Moire Bold Prints stamp.

One layer floral for A Blog Named Hero

I have a relatively simple, one layer card to share with you today for A Blog Named Hero Facebook page.
Add caption
I used the Large Flower Stencil from Hero Arts, coloured with a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks. I had masked half of the front of a white card base, and stamped the sentiment from "Hello Stamp & Cut" so it was partially over the stenciled area but mostly over the white. I added some of the little hearts from the same set instead of adding any gems or sequins so I could keep it as a true one-layer card.

The new challenge at A Blog Named Hero is "Put a flower on it" - I hope you can join in!

Blue irises

I don't own this background stamp from My Favorite things - it's called Etched Flowers. I borrowed it from a crafty friend. Maybe I should buy it - I like it a lot!
I think it looks like irises - I don't know if it is meant to look like irises, but that's what I was going for when I coloured them with blue and yellow Zig markers. The sentiment is from Uniquely Creative.

Kimberly Wiener CASE

I am a huge, HUGE fan of Kimberly Wiener. Seriously. Her use of colour is just amazing. This card is a direct CASE of one by Kimberly that I saw and fell in love with on Instagram.
I used the Blooming Bunch stamp set from Studio Katia, white embossed onto watercolour cardstock, then coloured with Zig markers.

Thanks for visiting, and thanks to Kimberly for all the inspiration :)

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC 197

Welcome to a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays!
http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com.au/

I used the CAS-ual Fridays set "Forget your Trebles" - I white embossed the treble clef, and clear embossed the black stamped sentiment. I then used Zig markers to watercolour the image, and added some Wink of Stella. I cut the panel to mount it over some black striped paper for a little bit more detail.

Fusion: Baby's Room

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!
I used an elephant stamp from My Favorite Things, coloured with Copic markers, and a sentiment from Mama Elephant. I curved the sentiment to match the circle mat, cut with a die from Lil' Inkers.  To mimic the polka dots in the photo, I layered a polka dotted piece of vellum over a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock from Stampin' Up.

Make sure you check out all the rest of the inspiration at the Fusion challenge blog, and play along with your own creation!
