1 design, 5 cards

5 different cards,  but all with the same basic design (with a little bit of variation here and there.) 

The last one I made as part of a colour challenge for the "We stamp for Lara" blog, which raised funds for a little girl in desperate need of some help.

Medallion card

Just something I made a while ago that I thought I'd share.....

 

I made this design for my friend Anne for her birthday.  I made it with a silver base card and black sponging for her card, but I liked it so much I made it in a bunch of other colours, too - this black one is my favourite. 

Like a lot of cards, this photo just doesn't do it justice.  The white dots are actually liquid pearls, and there is glitter that doesn't show up, either. Nor does the sheen of the silver ink.  Oh, well.

Wrapping paper

I sometimes use wrapping paper in my card making - I bought  this beautiful paper from Myer. 

The wrapping paper matches the Purely Pomegranate cardstock so nicely! (yet another Stampin' Up colour that was discontinued - boo!)

Quite a simple card, really, but I like it (even if I do say so myself!).

Sharyne's birthday

Today is my friend, Sharyne's, birthday.  I had to make her a special birthday card - not just one from my stash.  I went through my drawers of stuff, and came across some old metal shim that I'd used years ago, and I wondered - how would that go in my new Big Shot?

 I used my "Birds and swirls" Cuttlebug embossing folder on it.  The stamped Happy Birthday is from Hero Arts "Yummy treats" clear stamp set.

Interesting task part 4

So, the brief this time was 2 cards (1/2 birthday, 1/2 housewarming) for the pink-pirate-monkey-card-recipient's (see earlier post) parents, who are into martial arts.  Here's the results.......

Believe it or not, there's a ninja monkey on this card, but he's a ninja, so he's invisible.................. :D

Of course, any monkeys who practice karate would be black belts.  Naturally. 

 And I decided that the monkey on the first card without an eye patch or bandana needed a little extra something............ so I armed him with a sword!!!

I had great fun making these cards - I hope you like them and get a little giggle from them ;)
