Week 4, card 5, Summer Card Camp

I planned to post these one per day this week, but I just can't wait!

I had a set of baby boy embellishments that I used last year, and the little boat was the only thing left over, so when I saw this week's colour scheme, it just has to come out of hiding :)

The embossed white card is meant to look like wind, but, now that I look at it, I think it's blowing a gale!

Week 4, card 4, Summer Card Camp

I started making this flower using the same technique as the flower in my very first card in week 1 of Summer Card Camp (I think of it as the "wet and scrunch" technique) - but the shiny paper I used repelled the water, so I left it (comparatively)  flat :)

Week 4, card 3, Summer Card Camp

I've had these felt flowers from Stampin' Up for a while now, with nothing to put them on until now ;)

Week 4, card 2, Summer Card Camp

Card 2 went through a bit of a change - I stamped "good luck" in a turquoise colour on the right, but it didn't stamp well (it was a new stamp, and I really should have tested it first - bad Michelle), so I wrote over it in the same colour as I'd stamped it, but it came out a bit heavy-handed (see photo on the right), so I cut out a turquoise piece of cardstock, punched the edge, drew stitch marks around it, and then hand-wrote the greeting (see photo on the left).  I think it would have looked a whole heap better if I'd just tested the stamp first!

New week, new colour scheme! Week 4, card 1, Summer Card Camp

I had an inkling that, because I loved last week's colour scheme so much, that I would find this week's colour scheme difficult - but I love it!!! Hooray!!!

The colours in this Cristina Re paper fit very well - they're a little bit paler than the ones in the scheme, but not much :)
I was planning on stamping the "happy" using the large happy stamp from the same SU set as the "birthday" stamp, but then I decided to use these fun glittery thickers from American Crafts' Dear Lizzy collection - love them!! The glitter just doesn't show up as well as I would like in the photos :(
