Mary Poppins birthday card

My friend Di's birthday is this week.  She works as a nanny, and she sings (I know her through choir - actually, multiple choirs!) So I decided to make her a Mary Poppins bookmark and card for her birthday.
Gotta love it when you have an idea for a card or bookmark or whatever, you make it, and it turns out exactly like you wanted. Awesome.

I made the bookmark first, and loved it so much, I decided to make a matching card.  And when I had them both together, I danced a little jig, I was so happy with how they turned out!!

PS I apologise for the video being a little bit dim in some parts - I made it in the evening, and I don't have a studio with special lights or anything, I just do my best with what I have :)

Ombre inks with holly for Christmas

I recently bought two of Hero Arts' ombre ink pads - this was their first use!

Happy Birthday with Altenew and Wplus9

I looked at my calendar this morning, and realised that there are a few birthdays that have crept up on me! So, I needed to make some birthday cards, and I decided to join in with Altenew's video challenge at the same time.

Here's my card:

 I used Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp set, and the sentiment is from Wplus9's Strictly Sentiments 5.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers in RV000, RV09, RV66, RV04 RV23, BG13 BG34 BG10 and BG000.  I also used a white Uniball Signo Broad gel pen and Zig Wink of Stella.

Sending sunshine

Another card to send to a friend of mine who needs a bit of cheering up.  I'm playing along with the crafty challenge at the Winnie and Walter Blog - Kelly's Partial Stamping challenge.  The challenge is to only ink up part of a stamp.  Here's what I came up with:

Can you spot the partially inked stamp?  Well, see those subtle white clouds on the die cut blue panel? They are the solid rose image from the Winnie and Walter set "Big Bold Extras".  The main image is from Mama Elephant's "Up and Away", and the sentiment is from Hero Arts "Thoughtful messages".  The stitched rectangle die is from Lil' Inkers Designs.
