I love this sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays - it makes me chuckle every time I see it! And I love a rainbow, so I'm thoroughly enjoying the latest Online Card Class. I didn't have much time between work and choir tonight, so it's a pretty simple card.

Rainbow butterflies
Playing along with a very quick card for the latest Online Card Class - Rainbow Maker!
I used a butterfly die from My Favorite Things to create a stencil, then sponged Distress Oxide inks over it three times. the sentiment is from Avery Elle "Big Greetings", stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

Blue and pink thank you
Note to self - dark pink Zig marker stains white embossing.
I used the Elizabeth background stamp from Simon Says Stamp - I think this stamp would work better on smooth cardstock rather than textured watercolour cardstock, because it has some really detailed bits that were a bit lost on the texture. The sentiment is from Studio Katia.

Fusion: Pastel Pencils
Hello, Fusion fans! I pretty much ignored the photo inspiration this week and went with the sketch:
I used the Simon Says Stamp set, More Spring Flowers, which I white embossed onto Canson watercolour paper with lots of masking of images to get a layered look. I watercoloured them with Zig clean color real brush markers and water, then adhered the panel to a white top folding card base. I added a white panel cut with a die from Lawn Fawn, before adding a sentiment from Wplus9 More Fresh Cuts.
Make sure you check out the Fusion blog for more inspiration!
I'll also be sharing this card at Muse - they have an Anything Goes theme this week!

Blue flowers for a happy birthday
Back to my comfort zone today - blue, watercolour, and flowers!
I used the Wplus9 Kind Soul stamp set, along with Zig clean colour real brush markers, which I scribbled onto my craft sheet and sprayed with water, before dunking my stamped image into the puddles of colour multiple times. I dried it off, then added some detail using Copic markers in blues and blue-greens. I added a stamped sentiment (from a different Wplus9 set) and then decided it needed a strip of blue along the top. I then finished with some Wink of Stella and a row of faux stitching.
I'll be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - their theme this week is "Anything Goes".
