Online Card Class - Day 1

I've never needed an online card class more that I need it now! I hope Jennifer and Kristina and their guests know what a positive effect they are having on crafters' mental health right now - you're fabulous!

Anyway, here are some of my cards for today:

All of my cards have an embossed floral image from Wplus9. The gold one has a hello die and stamped sentiment both from Picket Fence Studios.

For this pink card, the hello is from Pink and Main, and the stamped sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios.

For the pool card, the hello die is from Create a Smile, the border die is from Altenew, and the sentiment strip is from Taylored Espressions.

Wonderful Day

I actually finished a bottle of Star Dust Stickles on this card!

I masked off a strip in the middle of the card, and then used a stencil from Paper Rose Studio to add Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean. I stamped a sentiment (also form Paper Rose) and then added bucketloads of Stickles. (Don't worry, I got a new bottle in the mail the other day, so all is well!)

Pink and purple birthday heart

When I can't think of anything creative to do on a card, I rifle through my stash of alcohol ink backgrounds and see what happens. This is what happened.

I cut a heart out of vellum using a die from Pink and Main, and white embossed a sentiment from Papertrey Ink on it.

Colour & Connect

Hello! I have a special card to share today, because I coloured this image during a Colour & Connect Zoom session run today by Kathy Racoosim and Lydia Fiedler. I loved this session because I got to "meet" some of my fabulous crafty friends face to face, got to meet people I've stalked on Instagram, and met brand new crafty friends, as well as learning heaps of stuff about watercolours, cardstocks (especially why certain coated cardstocks don't work well with Copic markers) and pencil sharpeners! I had a great time, Kathy and Lydia - thank you!!
Here's what I made:

The large floral image is a favourite of mine from Concord & 9th, coloured with Copic markers and Derwent Pencils. I didn't want to cover it up, so I fussy cut one edge so I could put some Hero Arts layering paper under the left side, and found a little sentiment from Picket Fence Studios to nestle in the bottom corner.
