Alcohol ink baby card

Haven't made a baby card in a while...

The sentiment die is from Papertrey Ink, and the sentiment strip is from Taylored Expressions.

Sorry, only one photo today - when I took the photos, the close up one turned out blurry, but I've already given this card to someone, so couldn't take another!

Blue and green Hello from Paper Rose

A quick, CAS card to share today using some versatile products from Paper Rose.

I placed the Mandala stencil over left side of a white cardbase and inked with Distress Oxide inks using Picket Fence Life Changing Blender Brushes. I then stamped "Hello" over  the stenciling. I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock. I finished by adhering sequins with Lawn Fawn liquid glue and sentiment strip with dimensional adhesive.

Rainbow background for Picket Fence Studios

The January release from Picket Fence Studios includes some fabulous cover dies - this one would be great for a more subtle background, but I went for bright!

I cut the Glass Window Rainbow Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it over a panel of Yupo with a rainbow of Alcohol marker dots. I added a white embossed sentiment from "Seriously, Absolutely, Always" on a scrap of black cardstock.

Blue floral bithday

This card turned out NOTHING like I planned, but I think I like it anyway.

I used the Lovely Blooms and It's your Birthday stamps both from Studio Katia.

Red roses

I got some time to make another floral card using some of the tips and tricks from Kathy Racoosin's Online Card Class. I didn't try to smash two dissimilar colours together this time, but added extra depth to the nooks and crannies, added a few white gel pen dots, and some grey dots as a halo around the image.

The image is from Hero Arts/Gina K, and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

Release day at Picket Fence Studios

It's release day at Picket Fence Studios! Yay! The January release will Blow. Your. Socks. Off. Seriously.
The two cards I am sharing today would be great for a wedding card and a wedding thank you card.

I used the stamp set called "A Bride's Bouquet", white embossed onto watercolour cardstock. I then watercoloured it with Zig clean color real brush markers and water. I embossed the sentiment on a strip of blue cardstock and adhered the bouquet panel onto a card base of the same blue colour. I added some white pearls as a finishing touch.

For my second card today, I used the Peacock Beauty cover die with colour showing through the gaps.

I ran some Yupo through my diecutting machine with an embossing mat so that I knew where to colour the Yupo to match the die perfectly. I then coloured the Yupo with Copic markers. The copics I used were quite bold colours, and I wanted it a bit more muted, so I sandwiched a piece of white vellum between the coloured Yupo and the white diecut. I added an embossed sentiment on a scrap of teal cardstock, and added some white pearls to finish it off.

Beautiful blue birthday for Paper Rose

I have a card to share today using some gorgeous products from Paper Rose.

I made a panel of Yupo with alcohol inks. I then cut the Lovely Florals Blossom Border die and beautiful word die from white cardstock , and the word shadow from vellum. I stamped and white embossed the sentiment from Beautiful Words on blue cardstock.

Anything goes at A Blog Named Hero

Hello! I have a pink and girly card to share today for the "Anything Goes" challenge at A Blog Named Hero.

I created a panel of watercolour cardstock with the Flowers for Colouring Bold Prints stamp embossed in white. I coloured it with Zig markers and water, then cut a circle from the panel. I stamped and clear embossed the same stamp onto a pink Hero Arts notecard, then added a sentiment from Messages with Flourish which I embossed onto vellum.

Starting late for Kathy Racoosin's Online Card Class

Finally got a chance to watch 2 videos from day 1 the new Online Card Class with Kathy Racoosin. She says to be fearless with colour choices (I actually have that fearless pin!). In our family, there's a running joke about confusing the colours orange and purple, so I tried to colour an image with those two colours! Not for the faint of heart!

Please don't look too closely!

I used the GORGEOUS Friendship Blooms stamp set from Hero Arts and Gina K Designs. I've had this stamp set for MONTHS, but haven't had a chance to get it inky until today!

I added some pink to blend a bit between the purple shadows and the orange on the petals, and I added some navy blue pencil in the nooks and crannies, and some yellow pencil to brighten up the petals, too. I decided to make the leaves a teal green, but then I added some grass green pencil to brighten them up a bit, too.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted, white embossed on black cardstock.

Using up leftovers

I love getting two cards for the price of one! I made a panel of Yupo with alcohol inks, and added glitter paste over a stencil from Hero Arts for a post for the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page earlier this month. I used this leftover square to make this very quick card.

I added a die cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. Simple!

Hey Bestie release at Simon Says Stamp

The new release from Simon Says Stamp is now available! The very generous Heidi at Simon Says Stamp sent me the gorgeous Etched Snowflake Background stamp - it arrived in the mail today, and I immediately got inky!

I white embossed the background stamp, and added colour with Zig markers and water, before adding heaps of shimmer with Perfect pearls in water. The sentiment die is cut from glitter cardstock, and the stamped and white embossed part of the sentiment is from Tiny Words.

Rainbow birthday

Hello! I have a simple card to share today - a single sentiment stamp and a watercolour rainbow!

I started by stamping the sentiment from Studio Katia in Versafine onyx black ink, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then added some colour using Zig markers and a waterbrush, then, when it was dry, added some black enamel dots!

I thought I would try to make a paler version of the same card, and I added sequins to this one.

Pink and grey birthday card

I made this card AGES ago (my mum gave it to my sister for her birthday - in November!) but I realised I hadn't shared it here.

I used a background stamp from Simon Says Stamp embossed with Hero Arts gold embossing powder. I coloured it with Zig markers and water. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and from Birch Press.

I'll be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is "Fun with Florals".

Sparkle for A Blog Named Hero

Hello, 2020! The Sparkle challenge at A Blog Named Hero is still running, so I added a heap of sparkle to this card.

I made a panel of Yupo with Alcohol ink. When it was dry, I added Nuvo Glimmer paste using the Ornate Floral Stencil from Hero Arts. When that was dry I cut a square out of the middle, adhered the panel to a white card base, and stamped the sentiment from Many Birthday Messages in Versafine Onyx Black ink.
