Circles over alcohol pearls

I was in the mood for joining in with a challenge today, so I did a bit of a look on the interwebs and decided to join in on the latest challenge at Create a Smile.

I made a panel of yupo with alcohol pearls. I added some die cut circles from Altenew, a layered die cut sentiment from Create a Smile, and a stamped sentiment strip from Mama Elephant.

Birthday bouquet with Derwent Pencils

I never have enough birthday cards!

I stamped the bouquet from Concord & 9th and gold embossed it onto Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured it with Derwent pencils, and added a sentiment from Birch Press gold embossed onto black cardstock.

Rainbow watercolour

I love rainbows, and I love flowers. What can I say?

I white embossed these flowers from Simon Says Stamp onto watercolour cardstock. I coloured them with Zig markers and sprayed with water, before adding more colour and painting with a waterbrush.

I will be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is "Anything Goes"

Rainbow watercolour border

Flowers, rainbow, embossing, watercolour. I'm not predictable at all.

I used stamps from Simon Says Stamp embossed onto watercolour cardstock. I added colour with Zig markers and water, then added a sentiment from Gina K Design, and some sequins from Prettty Pink Posh.

Farewell, Sarah

A workmate of mine, Sarah, is embarking on a new adventure with her husband in the US of A. I made this card for her farewell.

I used stamps from Hero Arts, My Favorite Things and Clearly Besotted, along with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink, and Red Royal shadow ink from Hero Arts.

Mandala birthday

I don't know what has happened to me over the past year or so - I used to be a very Clean and Simple cardmaker, but now I seem to have heaps of cards with all-over patterns, like this one! I'm not complaining, it's just interesting to see how styles change over time!

I used the Shining Mandala stamp from Birch Press, coloured with Derwent Pencils. I had planned to used watercolour pencils, so I stamped the mandala onto watercolour cardstock. If I had decided earlier to not use watercolour pencils, I would have stamped on smoother cardstock. Oh, well!

Kaleidoscope rainbow

I seem to be on a rainbow kick this month. Yay!

I created a rainbow background with distress oxide inks, water and perfect pearls. I die cut the kaleidoscope cover die from Catherine Pooler from some white cardstock (I cut the middle out), adhered it to the rainbow background, and added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Pink birthday on vellum

I'm on a birthday card making kick at the moment (also, I keep typing "birthday" as "borthday", which makes me think of Gru from "Despicable Me" and makes me chuckle every time. This tangent has absolutely nothing to do with this card. Just so you know.)
I white embossed the "elaborate" background stamp from Penny Black onto watercolour cardstock, then coloured with pink Zigs and water. I added a white embossed sentiment from Avery Elle on a vellum banner, and finished with some sequins (behind which I added some adhesive to stop the vellum banner form blowing in the wind.)

CASe this sketch

I'm playing along today with "CASe this sketch" today - I modified the sketch a little bit, but not heaps!

I used a die from Paper Roses over a panel of Yupo with alcohol inks. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

Fusion: Tropical Fish

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!

I ignored the photo this time and used the sketch as my inspiration. I stamped and gold embossed some roses from Altenew, and coloured them with Copic markers. I added a white embossed sentiment on a strip of black cardstock.

Clean and Simple at A Blog Named Hero

The latest challenge at A Blog Named Hero is CAS - if you know anything aboout me, you know that I am a CAS girl at heart (for the uninitiated, CAS stands for Clean and Simple), so this challenge is right up my alley!

I used an offcut from a rainbow piece of Yupo with alcohol inks, and added a stamped sentiment from the Smile Stamp & Cut set from Hero Arts. I finished with a scattering of sequins.

Pink alcohol pearls

Alcohol pearls. Love em.

I made a panel of alcohol pearls on yupo, then added a negative die cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp over the top, with a stamp from the matching set. Sequins finished the card.

Glittery hello

This card looks odd when photographed straight on, but in person, the "hello" stands out really well against the glittery heart.

I used the Damask background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, stamped in Versamark and embossed with "Emerald City" embossing glitter from WOW. I then cut it with a heart die from Pink and Main (and embossed the larger heart on the card base, too), then added a die cut Hello also from Pink and Main, and a white embossed "amazing friend" (I cannot remember where that stamp came from, and I actually made this card months ago - if anyone recognises it, please let me know!)

I will be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "No Designer Paper"

Rainbow cloud

I've seen a few rainbow cloud cards in blogland - I love the look!

I used the Mini Cloud Edges stencil from MFT to create the cloud panel using Distress Oxide inks, and added a floating elephant from Mama Elephant. The sentiment is a very old one from Stampin' Up.

Online card class day 3

Day three of the latest Online Card Class, Stamp Happy, is all about Hero Arts Background stamps. I have HEAPS!! I chose this slightly older one called "Highline Ironwork" to try a version of the technique demonstrated by Shari Carroll in the class.

I don't have distress sprays or any liquid watercolours, so I used Zig markers and water to create this rainbow waterfall effect. The sentiment is a set of 2 dies from Create a Smile, and a stamp from Birch Press.

I have one more card to share with you for the Simon Says Stamp "Blossoms and Butterflies" release!

I added the die cut panel onto a piece of vellum and stamped the sentiment from the "beautiful Flowers" stamp set. I then adhered this over a panel of yupo with a rainbow of alcohol inks.

Release day at Simon Says Stamp

The new "Blossoms and Butterflies" release at Simon Says Stamp is available NOW!! Yay!

I used the Dahlia Corner Frame from Simon Says Stamp, along with a sentiment from the "Sketched Flowers" stamp set, over a panel of yupo with alcohol pearls. I added a panel of Simon Says Stamp "fog" cardstock to anchor the panel, and some faux stitching as a finishing touch.

Stamp Happy Day 2

Playing along with Online Card Classes - using clear stamps today - all from Hero Arts, of course!

I used the Teacup Flowers clear stamp set, along with a sentiment from Many Birthday Messages embossed onto vellum. I white embossed the flowers and leaves onto white cardstock, then blended Distress Oxide inks (Blueprint sketch, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick) over the top. I finished with some Wink of Stella.
