Happy birthday Nicole for Picket Fence Studios

Nicole, the owner of Picket Fence Studios, is having a birthday today, and all of the Design Team are showering her in cards!

I did this technique during a Facebook live video on the Picket Fence Studios Community page - I had a panel left over, and I thought it was perfect for two birthday cards!

I took a panel of yupo and added Paper glaze mixed with Paper Glaze enhancer through a stencil. When it was dry, I dripped Alcohol Pearls ink over the panel.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy Birthday, Nicole!

Paper Glaze Plumeria for Picket Fence Studios

Hello! My card today uses the new Slim Line Plumeria stencil, along with the Mini Slim Line Double Stitched rectangles, and a bunch of different paper glazes.

The sentiment is cut from cardstock that I had coated with Paper Glitz Sparkle, ad I added a sub sentiment from Word Topper Dies Subtitles.

Case me a Christmas Card with Debbie Pamment

Welcome to Case me a Christmas Card for 2021 - a Christmas Card blog series!

From October to December, I will link to a series of guest cardmakers on my blog. I will CASE one of their cards, and they will CASE one of mine! CASE stands for either Copy And Share Everything, or Copy And Selectively Edit. It's about getting inspiration from cardmaking friends, but making a new card that is our own. And, of course, the card we each make has to be a Christmas card!

Background

In November 2016, I started this a little series on my blog. It started with me wanting to challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone with my Christmas cardmaking, so I asked friends to challenge me to do something different. 2016 challenges included using embroidery thread on a card, making a food themed card, making a geeky Christmas card (it had the Tardis on it) and making a dinosaur themed card.

In 2017, I asked some of my cardmaking friends to join me with these challenges. Then, in 2020, I changed things up a bit by asking each of my guests to CASE one of my cards and I would CASE one of theirs. Ardyth Percy Robb made a video in 2020 (linked here) of a 5 step process that I use all the time when I am making a CASE of anybody's card, so I encourage you to check out her video!

Today's guest

Today, my guest is Debbie Pamment. I have CASEd one of her cards that you can check out HERE.

All of the products I used are linked below :)

And I made a video!

This is the card I Cased:

Debbie also Cased one of my cards - you can find it HERE

Texture for A Blog Named Hero

The newest challenge at A Blog Named Hero is "Texture". My favourite way to add texture is to use Paper Glaze from Picket Fence Studios, so I went with an ombre look.

I used the Glorious Petal Stencil from Hero Arts, along with the Big Hugs Stamp & Cut set.

A Blog Named Hero has recently moved to Instagram! If you want to enter our challenge, post your card to Instagram, tag @ablognamedhero and use the hashtag #abnhOctoberChallenge

Release day at Picket Fence Studios

Today is release day at Picket Fence Studios!  I have three cards to share with you today, the first two using the new Beautiful Girls Flower Wreath.

For this card, I used the 3.5 inch circle blending stencil to create the coloured circle, using inks from Catherine Pooler. I then stamped the wreath over the top in Picket Fence black ink, and added the die cut words from the Slimline Big Happy Hugs die set

For this second card, I stamped and white embossed the wreath stamp onto watercolour paper. I watercoloured it using Zig markers, and added a sentiment from the new Fancy Daily Sentiments set and the coordinating dies.

My third card today uses the new Slimline Details of a wing stencil, which I paired up with Paper Glaze and Paper Glaze enhancer. I also made a video of this card, which is up on the Picket Fence Studios YouTube channel.

And here's the video I made!

All the products used, and the rest of the amazing products in today's release, are linked below.

Release day at Picket Fence Studio

It's release day at Picket Fence Studios! There's new stamps and dies, but you know I have a soft spot for stencils, and I've used stencils on every card I'm sharing today!

This card uses the Centre Flower stencil, with the "you are the best" word die.

This card makes a feature of the Thank you word die, with  stencil in the background. I finished with a sentiment white embossed onto black cardstock.

This elegant card uses the Slim Line centre flower stencil, along with a sentiment from the Fancy congratulations set (a new favourite of mine, along with all of the other Fancy Sentiments sets) - it also comes with matching dies, which are a game changer! I also used one of the new Paper Glazes from last month's release - I paired it with two older paper glaze colours to get an ombre look across the card.

My mum thinks this card looks like a mask. I wasn't particularly going for that look, but if Karma could kick Covid in the teeth, that would be nice!

Release day at Picket Fence Studios

It's release day at Picket Fence Studios, and this release is a DOOZY! It is HUGE, and there are some AMAZING stamps and dies!

In today's post, I am showcasing some of the amazing stencils in this release. All of the products in the release are listed below.

For this rainbow card, I used the Coloring Book Stencil along with the Big Hugs die.

For this next card, I made a slimline card using the Cloud Coverage stencil and the Happy Birthday word die.

This slimline card was made using alcohol inks on Yupo with the Slimline Rising Sun Stencil.

And finally, I used the Wave Sun Stencil on this card, using three new Paper Glaze colours - Yellow Primrose, Pink Carnation and Mint Hydrangea. The sentiment is from Wild Peonies.
