Hey there floral

Today, I'm sharing a card I made using the Boho Bouquet Layering Stencils from Hero Arts. I paired the stencils with a sentiment from the February 2025 card kit, and the Arches infinity dies.

Twinkle all the way

I'm loving non-traditional colour schemes for Christmas cards this year (well, every year, really!)

(The sentiment I used on this card is from a Mama Elephant set called Merry Greetings which is, sadly, discontinued.)

Mixed media for Paper Rose

Compensated affiliate links may be used - these are at no extra cost to you. I appreciate your support!

Today, I'm sharing a pair of mixed media cards I made using products from Paper Rose Studio.

I created a single mixed media panel and cut it down to create two cards. I started by ink blending some distress inks onto a panel of Strathmore Bristol cardstock. I then stamped onto it with the Beautiful Mandala stamp and the Text Background stamp. I then added some ink through the Small Drops stencil, glitter paste through the Flowy Leaves stencil, and pearl texture paste through the Leafy Circle Lattice stencil. I cut the panel to fit my card with a little white border around the edge, added a white die cut (Feather trio dies on one card and the Lyla Butterfly die on the other) and a printed sentiment from Black and White Sentiments.

The current Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero is all about birthdays - this card is very textured, as I used Hero Paste over the top of yupo.

March My Monthly Hero kit

The March My Monthly Hero kit is now on sale!
I used the die and a stamp from the kit, along with a frame die and a stencil to create my card:

I found some old wood veneer in my stash and die cut the frame from it. I then added some glue and adhered some gilding flakes to make it look like an old frame. I added a piece of yupo behind it to which I had added Hero Paste and Alcohol pearls.

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Jenny Dix

Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2018!
My guest today is Jenny Dix, and she has challenged me to make a card using texture paste. You can check out her take on this challenge HERE.

Here's what I came up with:
I used the Ornate Floral Stencil from Hero Arts, with Wendy Vecchi texture paste that I coloured with a few drops of red alcohol ink (I'd not tried that before - when I've wanted to colour texture paste, I've used Distress Inks or Gelatos, but I wanted something a bit darker, and the alcohol ink worked really well!) I added a sentiment from Birch Press Design.

Have a lovely rainbowy day

Inspired again by Laura Bassen to make this textured rainbow card for the Online Card Class:
I used Wendy Vecchi embossing paste coloured with Distress Inks (need to get some reinkers so I can get more intense colour with some of these), applied over the Heart Mandala stencil from Simon Says Stamp, with a die cut and stamped sentiment, both from Concord & 9th.
