Finished in Feb

My friend Donna set herself a challenge to go through her UFO pile (UnFinished Objects) and make some cards with them. I have an embarrassingly large UFO Pile, so I'm joining in with Donna!

I found amongst my UFOs a panel of watercolour paper that I had stamped and white embossed with a background stamp from Impression Obsession. I added some colour with Zig markers and sprayed with water. I cut the panel in half (gotta love a good two for one moment!) and added a die cut and layered sentiment from Paper Rose.

Twelve cards using stamping foam

Last week, I invited my friend Melissa over for a crafty afternoon. I first met Melissa at choir in 2017, but we only really got to know each other when our choir started zoom rehearsals in 2020. Melissa has been a crafter for years, but she got into cardmaking just over a year ago, and she has jumped in head first!

I recently bought the Simon Hurley Stamping Foam, so Melissa and I had heaps of fun using background stamps and embossing folders to create texture, and then stamped the texture using Hero Arts reactive inks onto watercolour paper. We ended our day with a handful of backgrounds ready to be made into cards, so we planned to make a bunch of cards and share them on the same day on Instagram. You can find Melissa's post HERE and mine HERE! (I can't wait to see Melissa's cards!)

Mother's Day Cards

Mother's Day is coming up, so I made a bunch of Mother's Day cards. I used some background stamps, white embossed onto watercolour paper, then coloured with Zig markers and water. The background stamps I used are from Hero Arts, My Favorite Things (that stamp is discontinued) and Impression Obsession. The sentiments are from Paper Rose studio, Clearly Besotted, Avery Elle, and a stamp from a company that no longer exists, Artee Stamps.

Fusion: Valentine

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!

I started with a piece of layering cardstock from Hero Arts to create a card with pale peach on the outside and white on the inside. I die cut a square from the front, and stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts inside the card. I used a stamp from Impression Obsession over the front of the card, and drew some faux stitching with a white gel pen around the edge. I cut a couple of hearts using a die from Lawn Fawn, and layered them onto another piece of the pale peach cardstock before adhering them to the card front.

Make sure you check out all the rest of the inspiration at the Fusion challenge blog, and play along with your own creation!
