Metallic emboss resist

Hello! I have a card to share today for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

I used the Hero Arts/Basic Grey Spice market large petal background stamp (which is sadly discontinued), gold embossed onto watercolour paper. I coloured it with Zig markers and sprayed with water, and repeated to get more depth of colour. I cut the panel in half, adhered it to a top folding white card base, and added a sentiment from the new Easy Expressions Birthday stamp set and matching die from The Ton.

Blooming rainbow

I bought this amazing cover plate die called "blooming flowers background" from Paper Rose last weekend, and I couldn't wait to try it out!

I paired it with a yupo panel with a mix of alcohol inks and alcohol pearls, and finished with a sentiment from Altenew, and some sequins.

I will be sharing this rainbow card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "Whatever the weather".

Rainbow and an elephant for Muse

I'm playing along with the MUSE card club today.
This week's MUSE is Bharati Nayudu of Handmade Happiness (love that blog name!) ,
I stamped and white embossed a background stamp from Hero Arts that is now discontinued (why oh why do companies discontinue stamps that I love?? WHY????) and coloured it with Zig markers and water. I added the black stripes using a stamp from Impression Obsession, and the elephant and balloon are from MFT.
I'll also be sharing this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is Anything Goes.

Rainbow thanks

Not enough rainbows on this blog lately, so I decided to fix that.
I used inks from Catherine Pooler to paint the rainbow background over the white embossed "thanks" stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, sprayed it with Perfect Pearls in water, and added a white embossed sentiment from the new release from Simon Says Stamp and Cathy Zielske Design.
I'll be sharing this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is Anything Goes.

Pink birthday

More alcohol inks. So sue me!
I used a pale pink foil over the pink alcohol inks (bit of a change from my usual gold). The happy birthday die is from Simon Says Stamp - the little stamped sentiment is from their Friendly Frolic release, that goes live today! So many sentiments, great for scrapbooking or cardmaking - very versastile!

Happy birthday flower

I finally got around to using an alcohol ink background with gold foil on it that I made a couple of months ago!
The die is from Simon Says Stamp, and the sentiment stamps are from Altenew.

Glittery happy 21st

I was asked today by a friend to make a 21st birthday card, so I decided to go glittery.
The glittery goodness isn't totally obvious from the first photo, so here's a shinier one!
I'll be sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is Sparkle and Shine.

Leafy green hello

I wasn't 100% happy with the rainbow card I posted yesterday, but my friend, Anna, commented that she loved the leafy look of the background, and that she'd like to see it in lots of different shades of green (she's a botanist, you see!) So, here you go, Anna!
I used the "Wallpaper Pattern" background stamp from Hero Arts, white embossed onto watercolour card. I then added some green Zig markers and sprayed with water, and repeated until I was happy with the look. I die-cut some leaves from Hero Arts "You're so lovely" from white vellum, and some berry sprigs from CAS-ual Fridays "Casual Confort" from vellum that I coloured pale green with Hero Arts shadow ink in "Antigua". The sentiment is from the "Hello" stamp and cut sent from Hero Arts - I layered the die 4 times - 3 in pale green, then the top one in white, covered with Wink of Stella.
I will be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme this week is "Anything Goes".

The challenge this week is Anything Goes, and we're playing with products from Lawn Fawn!

My cousin, Julie and her husband, Nick, are expecting their first baby in the new year, so I made this card for them.
I used the Small Stitched Circles Stackables dies to create the windows, then added Distress Oxide blending behind the windows. I stamped, die cut and coloured the little animals from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Baby" with the matching dies.

The challenge this week is Party Time, and we're playing with products from Simon Says Stamp!

Here's my take:
This "Ornate Background" stamp from Simon Says Stamp is a party in itself! I white embossed it onto watercolour cardstock, added some bright and happy colours using Zig clean color real brush markers, then cut the panel down so that there would be a white border. I also cut a window so I could stamp the sentiment from "Birthday Balloons" onto the white card base. I added some colourful enamel dots and some clear sequins as a fun finishing touch.

Guest Designer!

Hello! I'm so excited today because I've been invited to play along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge as a guest designer for the month of December! YAY!

The challenge this week is Gift It (make a gift/tag), and we're playing with stamps from  My Favorite Things.

I used the "Adorable Elephants" stamp set from My Favorite Things, which I stamped on some white cardstock with a balloon, fussy-cut her out and then coloured with Copic markers. I then adhered her to a silver tag, and stamped and clear embossed the "To:" and "From:" stamps. I layered the tag onto another tag that I had foiled with Pink foil from Heidi Swapp, using Thermoweb Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the "Ornate" stencil from Tim Holtz. I finished with some white ribbon edged with silver.
