Happy birthday

 I was asked to make a card for a friend's niece who recently turned 21. My friend asked for a card with pale blue (or Tiffany blue) with gold. This is what I came up with.

Tulip border for Paper Rose

 Today, I'm sharing a watercolour card for Paper Rose.

I cut the Tulip Border 2 die from white cardstock. I also used the same die to emboss a piece of watercolour paper. I used the embossed lines as a guide to my messy watercolouring, for which I used the Distress Watercolour pencils. I dried the panel, adhered the tulip die cut over the top, and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I finished by adhering the panel to a white card base, and added a strip of cardstock that I coloured with Distress Oxide ink to the bottom edge of the card.

Daisies for Paper Rose

 Today, I'm sharing some Copic colouring on a stamp from Paper Rose.

I stamped the Daisy Bouquet in black ink, and coloured it with Copic markers. I added stippling in grey markers around the image to add some depth. I embossed the sentiment onto a scrap of dark red cardstock, and added a strip of the same cardstock to the left of my coloured panel.

 The magnolia branches hot foil plate is such an elegant image, it works for so many different cards. I foiled it with muted matte metallic foil, and I thought it would suit a sympathy card.
