Today, I am excited to be the guest of Scrappy Tails! Their recent release included these stunning butterfly stamps, so I went all rainbow with them (well, almost a rainbow - no green today!)
On this card, I embossed the butterflies onto vellum and coloured the back side of the vellum with Copic markers to match the ink blending I did on the bard base underneath.
Today, I'm sharing a card I made for Paper Rose Studio.
I've had this embossing folder for a while, and never used it. I decided to try using it with some coloured cardstock and swipe a white ink pad over the top to add some definition to the pattern (as I saw Jennifer McGuire do in a recent video). However, I decided to step it up a bit by also rubbing some Paper Glitz from Picket Fence Studios over the top, too, and I got the most amazing shine!
I added a flower from Altenew coloured with COpic markers. The sentiment on the first card is from the same stamp set, and the sentiment on the 2nd card is from Paper Rose Studio.
One of my favourite techniques is to add white die cuts over an alcohol ink on yupo background - this technique came to mind as soon as I locked eyes on this gorgeous Lavender Frame Coverplate die.
For a bit more interest, I added some pink foil over the alcohol ink.
Also, do you see? We now have dies to match the More Fancy Sentiments stamp set! Woo hoo!
