Runway Inspired Challenge

A friend asked me for a wedding card just a couple of hours ago, and then I spotted the latest Runway Inspired Challenge!  (actually, I spotted Heather's design team card for Runway Inspired Challenge!, and I was inspired!

 I used my new Glorious Petal Stencil from Hero Arts for the background, inked in Iced Spruce Distress Ink.  I then took a Ranger foil tape sheet and die cut the word "happy" from my new favourite, Hero Arts "Stamp & Cut Happy".  I stamped the words "wedding day" onto some vellum, then glued the happy die cut and some Simon Says Stamp sequins onto the vellum too, before adding glue behind the die cut and the sequins to attach the vellum to the card front.

Merry Gold and Silver

I made this card MONTHS ago for a magazine call (it was back in January!) - it was not accepted, but I still love it!

Sorry the photos are a bit grey - the shine on the gold and silver made photographing it tricky to say the least! 

I actually didn't like the sentiment I used originally - the font just didn't look right - so I replaced it to make a Christmas card ;)

Foil butterfly

I have a thing for these two Simon Says Stamp dies at the moment.  The filigree one is a little temperamental, but when it works, it's just gorgeous!

When I bought these dies, I had the idea to put some patterned paper behind the filigree one, but today, when I saw Moxie Fab World's Metal, Wood and Cork challenge, I thought I'd try putting some patterned paper behind some adhesive foil - and it worked a treat!
