Happy birthday, Thomas!

My nephew Thomas' birthday was last month, and I gave him a perspex block of the periodic table with little mini samples of each element (excluding the radioactive ones!). I decided to make a card to match - the only problem is that the letter M only appears in the periodic table in Mg, Mn, Md, Mt, Mo and Mc, which are not helpful when spelling the name Thomas! I used letter dies from Hero Arts and stamps from Concord & 9th.

Bear-y Special for Paper Rose

 Today, I'm sharing a cute kids card for Paper Rose.

 I stamped the Valentine Bear clear stamp on the front of a side folding white card in black ink. I coloured the image with Copic markers. I then fussy cut around the right side of the image so that part of the inside of the card shows on the front of the card. 

I masked the inside of the card with mint tape, and blended a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks so that it would show behind the bear. I added some clouds cut from the Cloud Coverplate die.

 Today, I'm sharing a fun kids card for Paper Rose Studio.

I created a rainbow cloud background using the Clouds 6x6 stencil and Distress Oxide Inks, and adhered it to a mini slimline card base. I stamped the Happy Valentines - Giraffe clear stamp in black ink and coloured it with Copic markers. I adhered the giraffe with foam adhesive, stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, and added a few dew drops as a finishing touch.

Dino card for Paper Rose

 Today, I'm sharing a card for Paper Rose Studio. 

I stamped and cut out the dinosaurs and tree, and coloured them with grey Copic markers. I cut out the coloured squares, stamped the squares with the Text Background clear stamp in coordinating Distress Oxide ink, and blended the edges. I adhered the squares, overlapped as shown, then adhered the dinosaurs, tree image and sentiment using foam adhesive.

Happy birthday little girl for Paper Rose

 Today, I'm sharing a cute little birthday card for Paper Rose Studio.

I stamped the little girl from the Flowers for Teddy Clear Stamp set onto some white cardstock with a Copic friendly black ink. I coloured the image with Copic markers, paper pieced her dress with some paper from the Hello Little Girl card kit, and trimmed the image down. I cut a second piece of white cardstock to be slightly larger, and coloured the edges with the darkest pink that I used in the image. I adhered the two panels together and added a border of faux stitching with a white gel pen. I used the same patterned paper that I used for her dress to cover half of the card front, adhered the image over the top, and added a sentiment from the same card kit.

Dino birthday for Paper Rose Studio

Today, I'm sharing a pair of cards I made for Paper Rose Studio. 

I started with three for sheets of cardstock - I cut the yellow, teal and navy cardstocks to the same size for a min-slimline card and stuck them together with masking tape. I placed the Slimline Happy Birthday die on the stack and ran it through my die cutting machine. The die cut through the top two layers, but left and impression on the third, which allowed me to line up the die onto that piece and run it through by die cutting machine again so that all three were cut in the same place. I also cut the word dies from white cardstock. 

I arranged the pieces onto a mini slimline card base so that my card had a navy, teal and yellow background on one card, and a teal and navy background on the other card. I added the little pieces in the loops of the letters to create a bit of fun contrast. I finished with a dino die cut from Dino Adventures, and a faux stitching border  drawn with a white gel pen.
