The current Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero is all about birthdays - this card is very textured, as I used Hero Paste over the top of yupo.

I am very lucky to have some crafty friends who let me borrow their goodies! I had supreme luck recently when one friend let me borrow this hot foil plate, and then a different friend came over on a different day and let me borrow the matching stencils! Thanks, Deb and Melissa!
Today, I'm sharing a thank you card I made for Paper Rose Studio.

Today, I am excited to be the guest of Scrappy Tails! Their recent release included these stunning butterfly stamps, so I went all rainbow with them (well, almost a rainbow - no green today!)
On this card, I embossed the butterflies onto vellum and coloured the back side of the vellum with Copic markers to match the ink blending I did on the bard base underneath.

During the most recent Online Card Class, Jennifer McGuire demonstrated a technique using lots of ink and a baby wipe. The technique results in two background panels - this was the 2nd!
The sentiment dies are discontinued, but any birthday sentiment die could be substituted.

A week and a half ago, I posted a photo on Instagram of a bunch of pieces of Yupo that I'd coloured with alcohol inks - each piece was two similar colours. I'll have a few cards over the next few weeks using up some of these panels :)
I used alcohol lift ink on the first card, so the 2nd card came from stamping the alcohol ink off onto plain cardstock

Today, I'm sharing two cards I made using a new die set from the Bibi's Hummingbirds release from Spellbinders. The Delicate Floral Hummingbirds set includes a large 5x7 background die, plus coordinating detailed layering dies. I used parts of the large die on each of these two standard sized cards.

The new release from Spellbinders is called Bibi's Hummingbirds. It includes heaps of gorgeous dies - I used the Hummingbird and Lily dies on this card.
Instead of die cutting heaps of different colours, I cut all of the pieces from white cardstock and added my own colour using Distress Oxide inks.
