Lawnscaping Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Lawnscaping blog hop!   I hope you've just come from Anni's blog - I love her cardmaking style!

The theme is Lawnscaping+caffeine=happiness! Here's what I came up with:

For the main coloured panel, I used the "Stitched Hillside Borders" dies from Lawn Fawn, and the "Stitched Mats: Squares" die from Lil' Inkers, along with the "Morning Cup" stamp set from Stampin' Up.  I used a couple of Copic markers to colour the mug, and then covered it in Glossy Accents. The coloured cardstock is all from my stash of offcuts, and I added some enamel dots as a finishing touch.

A rainbow birthday for Avery Elle

I managed to sneak a few minutes today to make a last minute entry to the Avery Elle Rainbow Challenge.

I used Avery Elle sets "So Happy" and "Fanfare", and  I used 10 different Hero Arts shadow inks, plus Memento Tuxedo Black for the sentiment.  The tag die is from Reverse Confetti, and the "happy" die is from Clearly Besotted. The twine is from Darice, and the sequins from Simon Says Stamp.

Simon Says Stamp also has an "Anything Goes" theme this week, so I'll be sharing this card there, too!

When you miss a challenge cut off date

What do you do when you miss a challenge cut off date? Well, I make a card anyway!

The sketch for this card was posted at CASe this sketch, and I was marking exams at the time, so I missed the cut off date.  Oh, well!

Happy birthday, Bethany!

I made two cards today, both of them for a friend about to turn 18.  I have made cards with both of these designs before - I just modified the colour scheme a bit.
This card used a stencil from Hero Arts, Distress Inks and a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

This card has a sentiment from Hero Arts and flowers from a Wplus9 set.

Fusion Bright Butterfly

I fell in love with this latest FUSION challenge photo - I didn't even glance at the sketch!

I knew as soon as I saw it that I would be channeling the cardmaking style of my friend, Kelly Latevola - the photo reminds me so much of some of her cards.  I hope I've done her style justice!

There is SO MUCH colourful inspiration to be had over at the Fusion blog - make sure you go straight there to check out the gorgeousness!

Happy purr-thday

I'm playing Tic Tac Toe with the Hero Arts blog challenge today.

This card qualifies for the Tic Tac Toe challenge twice!  I used heat embossing, die cutting and my favourite colour (rainbow is a colour, right??), but I also used watercolour, birthday theme and heat embossing!

Watercolour blog hop for Pretty Pink Posh

I made this card today to join in with the blog hop hosted by Paulina at Pretty Pink Posh - it's all about watercolouring in all its forms!
I used Distress Inks for my watercoloured background - in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Peacock Feathers.  It is then cut with a "Stitched Rectangle" die from Lil' Inkers Designs.  The dies are from "Spring Showers" by Lawn Fawn (the sun also inked with Squeezed Lemonade), and the sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn set, "Sunny Skies".  I wish I could say that the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh, but I don't know where they came from - they were a gift!

Come and hop along - the linky is at Pretty Pink Posh!

Fusion - Blue Skies and Smooth Sailing

It's time for another Fusion challenge - I completely ignored the photo this time, and went with the sketch.

Make sure you drop over to Fusion to check out all the fabulous nautical themed cards using the photo as inspiration.  Which will you use - photo, sketch, or both?
