I couldn't resist doing another CASE for Kelly Latevola's CASEing Genius challenge - this time, I have CASEd a couple of cards by Lindsay Amrhein - you can see the cards HERE, and check out her blog HERE.
I'll be sharing this card over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
And I'd like to nominate Lisa Adessa to be a CASEing Genius genius!

Fusion - Purple & Poppies
CASEing Genius Challenge!
Today, I have made a card with two challenges in mind. The first one is particularly special to me - my friend, Kelly Latevola, is hosting a challenge on her blog to celebrate the first anniversary of her blog series, CASEing Genius. (I hope you hopped along with the celebratory blog hop - you've still got a tiny bit of time - check it out HERE!)
I have chosen to CASE a card by Kara Vrabel - you can find her blog HERE, and her card on Kelly's CASEing Genius post HERE. I took her idea of masking a shape and stamping around it. I also used the same stamp set as she did - WPlus9's "Fresh Cut Florals".
I used a colour scheme from this week's "The Card Concept" challenge. I went with the CAS Style (surprise, surprise!)
I'll be sharing this card over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
Also, I would like to nominate Glenda Wyatt of Glenda's papers, scissors & rocks to be a CASEing Genius genius!

CASEing Kelly
I first "met" Kelly Latevola when I joined the design team at A Blog Named Hero, and since then we have become good friends, and I am just a huge goofy fan girl of her style. We share a love of rainbows, white space and CASness (and inventing new words). My Pinterest board, "Cards I love", is positively chock-a-block full of Kelly's creations! And then she invited me to be her 2nd ever guest on her wonderful blog series, CASEing Genius, and I was just so excited and flattered and jumping around the room with glee and immediately started looking for my favourite rainbow cards. So, of course, one of my CASE choices for today's blog hop is a favourite Kelly-made rainbow card :)
I had to spend DAYS going through my favourite Kelly cards on her blog and on Pinterest to decide on these three cards. It was torture. Torture, I say*.
(* This is a big fat lie. It was totally awesome. The torture was choosing just three.)
I took inspiration from the flowers on the first and second cards, and the angled cut out of the third card. There would have to be masking in there, and I also knew that I would be using a rainbow of colours. This is what I came up with.
I seriously need Copic colouring lessons from Kelly! I used stamps from Altenew's "Hennah Elements" stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and Avery Elle "So Happy" stamped in Hero Arts Hero Hues black die ink, Copic markers in RV000, RV02, RV14, RV29, YR 00, YR02, YR16, Y02, Y18, Y19, Y38, G00, G02, B00, BG01 BG07, B29, B32, B63, V00, V06, and V09 and a coat of Wink of Stella as a finishing touch.
And, because I'm CASEing Kelly, I made a video!!

New challenge at A Blog Named Hero
Our new challenge at A Blog Named Hero starts today - it's all about making cards for kids! Seeing as we are collaborating with Lawn Fawn this month, I pulled out a couple of stamp sets and got inky!
Thanks so much to Kelly Marie at Lawn Fawn for her generosity for this collaboration month!

Happy birthday with Gelatos
Hello! Today, I'm sharing a card I made for the Altenew video challenge. I've already submitted one video, so I challenged myself to make another card with the same stamps, but try to achieve a very different look. Here's what I came up with:
I used Altenew's Hennah Elements, Wplus9's Strictly Sentiments, with Faber Castell Gelatos, and Hero Arts Shadow Inks and White embossing powder.
And here's my video:

Rainbow happy birthday
A one layer card today, that was pretty quick to make.
I began with the sketch from this week's CAS(E) this sketch challenge. I then got out my Hero Arts "Happy Stamp & Cut" set, with 6 different Hero Arts shadow inks in a rainbow of colours and stanped "happy" 6 times. I added a heart shaped mask and spritzed over it with my Tim Holtz spritzing tool and a red Copic marker, then removed the mask and stamped "birthday" in the middle. That's it!
