Valentine's day is swiftly approaching!
I used a panel of Yupo with alcohol inks, then added a layered die cut filigree heart from Serendipity Stamps and a white embossed sentiment from Clearly Besotted.
I will be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "Anything Goes"

Teal birthday
I love teal!
I used the "elaborate" background stamp from Penny Black, white embossed onto watercolour cardstock, then coloured with Zig markers. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, as is the teal glitter cardstock.

Stenciled Valentine's card
I recently ordered some stencils from Sarah Gray at Funky Fossil Designs on Folksy - I decided to make a Valentine's Day card with this heart shaped stencil.
I used Distress Oxide inks over the stencil, then added Perfect Pearls powder over the top. I added a sentiment from Reverse Confetti.
I'll be sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "Have a Heart".

Alcohol ink strip
I had a strip of yupo with alcohol ink that I just couldn't throw out because it was so pretty! So I made a super CAS birthday card.
I used a birthday die from Mama Elephant and a teeny tiny "wishes" from Simon Says Stamp. I lost the tittle from the "i" in birthday, so I replaced it with a sequin. (No, I did not make up the word "tittle" - true story.)

Sketched flowers
I've been trying to branch out into different colour schemes. Honestly, when I pulled out these Distress Oxide inks, they said "Halloween" to me, but I think they're OK on this card.
I used the Sketched Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, along with Distress Oxide Inks and some copic markers.

Love you more
With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought I'd make some cards.
I CASEd a card by Jennifer McGuire (check it out HERE). I used a slightly different technique, though. I just wanted some texture on the Yupo heart panel (cut with a die from Pink and Main), so I used a stencil from Hero Arts and sprayed some rubbing alcohol over it. A fair bit ran underneath the stencil, but the texture came when I removed the stencil. I added a die cut and stamped sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and some little heart bling from Studio Katia.
I will be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "Clean and Simple".

Love you more today than yesterday
Valentine's Day is coming up, so I made this card using stamps from Altenew and Simon Says Stamp.
I white embossed the flowers and leaves onto watercolour cardstock, then smooshed Distress Inks over the top. I sprayed the panel with water, dried it, then repeated the process, adding some darker reds. I finished the panel with a spray of Perfect Pearls in water.
I then used the love die from Simon Says Stamp and it's shadow die to cut the sentiment out (I used the shadow to cut a window in the panel, then cut the word die from multiple pieces of white cardstock, and layered them up). I mounted the sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp's "Thoughtful Messages" on a curve and stamped it using a Hero Arts shadow ink, and cut it out on a curve by hand. I finished with some sequins.
And I made a video!!

Crafter's Choice at A Blog Named Hero
Today, I'm CASEing myself - I made a card similar to this one a few years ago, but with a different background stamp, and with Distress Markers instead of Zig markers.
The challenge at A Blog Named Hero this month is "Crafter's Choice", AKA Anything Goes, so make sure you join in!

You are my sunshine
I've had rainbow clouds in my mind for weeks, and then yesterday, I saw that the latest challenge at CASology is "Cloudy", and I couldn't resist!
I used the Mini Cloud Edges stencil from My Favorite Things with a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks. The sentiment and the birdies are from Lawn Fawn, coloured with Copic markers.
I will also be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "Clean and Simple".

Elaborate teal birthday
My mum loves teal, so I think I will be keeping this card for her birthday next month.
The "elaborate" in the title of this post refers to the name of the background stamp I used (from Penny Black). The dies are from Honey Bee Stamps, and I added the birthday stamp from Altenew.

Big Hugs
I made a sympathy card last month - while the stamps were in my MISTI, I thought I might as well make more than one card.
I embossed the flowers from Altenew onto watercolour cardstock. I painted this watercolour panel with Distress Inks, then sprayed the whole panel with Perfect Pearls in water. I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp in Distress Oxide ink, and clear embossed it, before adhering the panel to a white card base.

Fusion: Butterfly Anniversary
Welcome to a new year, and a new challenge at Fusion!
I stamped the butterflies from Hero Arts and white embossed them onto watercolour cardstock. I then painted them with Gansai Tambi watercolours, sprayed the panel with Perfect Pearls in water, and then added some extra shine with White Gold watercolour. I adhered it to a card base made from Stampin' Up Ballet Blue (sadly, discontinued) and added a couple of thin strips of metallic ivory cardstock. The sentiment is a pair of dies from Create a Smile, and a stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I finished it off with some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Today is our anniversary post at Fusion, so we have all invited a guest designer to join us. My guest is the fabulous Ardyth Percy-Robb of MASKerade! Make sure you visit her blog to check out her wonderful card!

Floral die cut sympathy card
Sympathy cards are difficult to make, so I always try to make some when I don't need them so there's a few on hand when I do.
I made a yupo panel with alcohol inks, and put it behind a panel cut with the Mum Flower Frame die from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

Blue floral birthday
This stamp set has been on my wish list since it was released, and it arrived in the mail just the other day!
I used the Sketched Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, white embossed onto watercolour cardstock. I coloured the flowers and leaves with Zig clean color real brush markers and water, then added a black stamped sentiment. I added a strip of blue cardstock as a border on the left.
I'll be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where the theme is "something new".

Rainbow birthday on Yupo
My birthday card stash is woefully small and inadequate, so I'm trying to fix the problem.
I made an alcohol ink panel on Yupo, then added a sentiment with a die from Simon Says Stamp, and a stamp from Birch Press Designs.
And I made a video! (Shock horror!)

I'm loving the kaleidoscope background stamp from Catherine Pooler, especially white embossed with Zigs!
The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
And I decided I needed a rainbow, too!

Winter at A Blog Named Hero
When I think of winter, I think of icy blues and shine. This card has both!
I stamped the Leafy Vines stamp from Hero Arts and white embossed it. I added Distress Inks in various blues, then added a sentiment from "congrats stamp & cut", using both the die and a couple of stamps. I layered the glittery die over some vellum and fussy cut around it. I finished with some clear sequins.

CASEing pineapplepaperink
Happy new year! I have been keeping a little collection of posts from fellow cardmakers on Instagram with cards that I want to CASE. Then today I say the latest challenge from Inkspirational and I decided to CASE a card by Lindsay Olmstead Lajola AKA @pineapplepaperink- you can check out her card HERE and there's a photo below.
Here's my take:
I used a floral stamp from Concord and 9th, stamped in black ink onto watercolour cardstock. I added some Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. I decided to add some detail (a la Kelly Latevola) with Copic markers in shades to match the Oxide Inks. I added a layered diecut sentiment from My Favorite Things, some Wink of Stella over the flowers and the senitment, and then added some sequins. I adhered it to a card base with some black cardstock on the edges.
Here is Lindsay's gorgeous card (posted with her permission):
