This month's My Monthly Hero kit is one of my favourites of all time (I think it is tied for first with the chonky bees). Sadly, it is now sold out, but I thought I'd share this, anyway.
Thanks for visiting :)
Today, I'm sharing a card that was simple to make, but looks quite dramatic.
I cut the rose cluster die twice from black cardstock. I also stamped and white embossed the happy birthday sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock. I ink blended in Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink onto a white card front, and then adhered the floral dies with liquid glue and the sentiment with foam adhesive. I finished with some bubble bath drops from Trinity Stamps.

Today, the Hero Arts Global Team is having a blog hop! We're all using products from the April release - I made two cards using some of the MMH add-ons.
You should have come from Lisa Tilson's blog - the next stop on the hop is Sandi MacIver.
Hero Arts is giving away a $25 voucher to someone who comments on one of the 8 stops on the hop, so the more blogs you visit to leave comments, the greater your chance of winning!
If you've missed any of the stops on the hop, here's the complete list:
Michelle Lupton - You are here!
The April challenge at Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero is "Blend It Up" - I love doing ink blending with Hero Arts reactive inks!
And I made a video!
Thanks for visiting :)
Did you know that black swans are native to Australia? Black swans are a different species to white swans (there are multiple species of white swan). Black swans are now found in lots of different countries, but they're originally from Down Under, so I had to show off my Aussie-ness by making the swans black! (Well, the cygnet is grey, but, you know.) (Can you tell I used to be a biologist in a former life?)
Today, I'm sharing this soft, watercoloured card for Paper Rose Studio.
I stamped the Spring bloom clear stamp twice onto a panel of Bristol cardstock in Versamark ink, and embossed them with white embossing powder. I coloured the flowers with Zig clean color real brush markers and a waterbrush, before stamping the sentiment from the Big Bloom stamp set. I adhered the panel to a black mat, and then onto a white card base.
It's so easy to make a beautiful card with embossing folders like this one from Altenew!
I always try to make sympathy cards when I don't need them, so that when I do need one, there's always one waiting for me. I ink blended in the top left corner, then stamped the inky bouquet stamp set from Altenew, and coloured the images with bleach.
I made the first card, and then decided to use a different colour, but make a get well soon card.
