Hero Arts global team hop

Today, the Hero Arts Global team is hopping to welcome our new design team members, Lounon, Arjita and Karen! There's a voucher to be won, too - scroll down for all the details!

I made a "hello there" card to welcome them to the team!

I used the January My Monthly Hero kit to make my 2nd card, and a couple of the monthly add-on products on my 3rd card.

Here's the hop list - you should have come from Lisa Tilson's blog, and next on the hop is Lounon!

We will giveaway a $50 gift card to the Hero Arts website, drawn from among all the comments left across the blog hop. Please comment by Sunday, February 5 at 11:59pm PT.

Colorado Craft Company - Anita Jeram "The Way of Water" release

It's release day at Colorado Craft Company! We have new images from Anita Jeram, and they're all about the ocean! Scroll down, because there are prizes to be won!

I coloured the entire image with Copic markers. I resisted the urge to make the mermaid have red hair, and I added some gold scale detail to her tail.

Colorado Craft Company will give away one free clear stamp set for each member of the design team, so someone commenting on this blog post will win! The more comments you leave on the hop, the more chances you have to win :)

On top of this, if you use my affiliate link (in the list below) to make a purchase, you will be entered to win the entire release. You must use my link to be entered.

Hello Beautiful for Paper Rose

Today, I'm sharing a colourful card using products from Paper Rose Studio.

I began by using the Hand Stitching 2 Embossing Folder on a top folding white card base, and I then added some colour with Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks blended towards the bottom of the card. I chose a variety  of die cuts from Betty's Garden Die Cuts set and arranged them into a wreath. I picked then all up with a piece of Press 'n Seal so I could turn them over and add some foam adhesive and liquid adhesive to the backs of the pieces. I adhered them to my embossed card base, and added some droplets from Trinity Stamps with liquid adhesive.

Valentine messages for Hero Arts

The January release from Hero Arts includes a stamp set that coordinates with the Sentiments Strips Fancy Die that was released last October (and you know how much I love that one!) So you know I had to cut some more coloured strips! No rainbow this time - I limited myself to red and pinks.

Alex Syberia layered stencil

I recently got the Modern Weave layering stencils from Alex Syberia. I inked them up with some inks from Catherine Pooler and added some glitter for good measure. I finished with a sentiment from Ink Blot Shop.

Postage stamp birthday for Paper Rose

Today, I'm sharing a clean and simple birthday card for Paper Rose Studio.

I started by ruling a pencil line diagonally across my card front. I lined up the Floral Postage Stamps 2 stamps across the card and stamped them in black ink. I coloured them in with Copic markers in pale colurs, and stamped the sentiment from Hello Happy Birthday set. I finished by erasing the pencil guideline.

Twelve cards using stamping foam

Last week, I invited my friend Melissa over for a crafty afternoon. I first met Melissa at choir in 2017, but we only really got to know each other when our choir started zoom rehearsals in 2020. Melissa has been a crafter for years, but she got into cardmaking just over a year ago, and she has jumped in head first!

I recently bought the Simon Hurley Stamping Foam, so Melissa and I had heaps of fun using background stamps and embossing folders to create texture, and then stamped the texture using Hero Arts reactive inks onto watercolour paper. We ended our day with a handful of backgrounds ready to be made into cards, so we planned to make a bunch of cards and share them on the same day on Instagram. You can find Melissa's post HERE and mine HERE! (I can't wait to see Melissa's cards!)
