Mother's Day is coming up, so I made a bunch of Mother's Day cards. I used some background stamps, white embossed onto watercolour paper, then coloured with Zig markers and water. The background stamps I used are from Hero Arts, My Favorite Things (that stamp is discontinued) and Impression Obsession. The sentiments are from Paper Rose studio, Clearly Besotted, Avery Elle, and a stamp from a company that no longer exists, Artee Stamps.
I decided I wanted to use a set of dies to make masks with - so, in the process, I got two cards for the price of one!
For my first card, I cut some flowers using the Spring Bloom metal die set and temporarily adhered them to my white card base. I then blended a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks over the top, before removing the home-made masks. I finished with a die cut "happy" sentiment cut from glitter cardstock and a printed sentiment.
For my second card, I took the masks that I had used on the first card and adhered them to a white card base, before adding a black die-cut "happy birthday" sentiment.
Today is release day at Picket Fence Studios! I have three cards to share with you today, the first two using the new Beautiful Girls Flower Wreath.
For this card, I used the 3.5 inch circle blending stencil to create the coloured circle, using inks from Catherine Pooler. I then stamped the wreath over the top in Picket Fence black ink, and added the die cut words from the Slimline Big Happy Hugs die set
For this second card, I stamped and white embossed the wreath stamp onto watercolour paper. I watercoloured it using Zig markers, and added a sentiment from the new Fancy Daily Sentiments set and the coordinating dies.
My third card today uses the new Slimline Details of a wing stencil, which I paired up with Paper Glaze and Paper Glaze enhancer. I also made a video of this card, which is up on the Picket Fence Studios YouTube channel.
And here's the video I made!
All the products used, and the rest of the amazing products in today's release, are linked below.
Today, I am happy to be a guest designer for the Beyond the Blue challenge blog! The challenge this week is embossing and ombre, so this is what I came up with:
I used stamps and dies from Hero Arts, along with Distress Oxide inks - all the products are listed below.
Make sure do visit the Beyond the Blue challenge blog and check out what the design team has created, and join in with the challenge!
I have a card to share today using a stencil and a printed sentiment from Paper Rose. THese printed sentiments are awesome, because you can foil over them if you have a laminator or a Minc (or a mini Minc, like I do).
I lightly inked the background with Distress Oxide inks in wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Fossilised Amber and Scattered Straw. I then added the Ornate Lattice Stencil and added more ink over the top.
I cut out the "everything will be OK" sentiment with a stitched circle die, and then ran it through my Mini Minc machine with hot pink foil, before adhering the circle in the middle of my stenciled card front.
