Clean and Simple Cardmaking - week 1, card 4

One of the things I love about these online classes is getting to interact via the electronic interwebs with a whole heap of lovely crafters from all over the world.  One such lovely lady is Lisa at The Purple Place.  She made a card yesterday that she wasn't very happy with, but I saw it differently to her!  She took Kristina's sketch, and changed the masked area into a heart - I just loved the idea, so had to try it myself!  Thanks for the inspiration, Kristina and Lisa! :)

Clean and Simple Cardmaking - week 1, card 3

With this card, I tried to make use of some lessons learned from Kristina Werner in previous classes - specifically about using multiple patterned papers at once.  This is something I'm not particularly good at, but at least I'm trying! These papers are from  6x6 paper pad from BasicGrey called "Hopscotch".

I'm off to a quick start with this class - already onto card 2!   (I'm going away next week, so have to make the most of it this week!)

I've used Kristina's 2nd sketch, and some of my favourite Cristina Re paper - which I think is now discontinued - almost makes me want to cry! :'(

Clean and Simple Cardmaking - week 1, card 1

Another online card class has begun!  Woo hoo!   I absolutely love cards done by Kristina Werner, so I did a fairly faithful CASE of her first card for the class - the only differences are that I changed the colour and the sentiment, and I made the hearts diffferent colours :)

You're 1!

My cousin's son is turning 1 soon, and when I saw the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger "By the Numbers", I knew it was the perfect idea for a card for the occasion!  I also used the layout from this week's Card Positioning Systems' CPS 250.

I embossed each of the panels with Quickutz embossing folder called "diamonds and dots" to try to mimic the quilting in the photo.
