Hero Arts again

I had a bit of stamped, embossed and inked card left over from my last card for "A blog named Hero", so I cut a couple of thin strips of it, added a HA sentiment, plus a stamped, die-cut and Copic-coloured butterfly and voila.

A Hero Arts Challenge

I'm just loving the new blog, "A Blog named Hero" - Hero Arts are my favourite stamps by far - always great quality, fantatic range of images and the best sentiments.
The blog's first challenge is to play favourites - but that's just too hard!   I have WAY too many Hero Arts favourites! This card uses one of my favourite cling stamps - Flourish background Cling stamp.

Color Throwdown #185

Thought I'd play along with this week's Color Throwdown challenge - so I had a hunt through my stash for an appropriately coloured embellishment, and came up with this:
The watermelon looks quite red in these photos, but in real life, it is much closer in colour to SU Regal Rose.

Sympathy card

This week's Play Date Cafe challenge is to make a card with black, white, and a splash of brown.  I tried making a card with some cute little owl stamps I have, but it was a total disaster, so I salvaged the white cardstock and made this - I think the best sympathy cards are the simplest ones, don't you?

Colour Q, Clean and Simple and CASual Fridays

Another attempt at CASual Fridays challenge - Name that Tune - along with a bright and sunny colour combo from ColourQ - challenge 130. The layout is from Clean and Simple sketch FTL 184.

The song I took my sentiment from is "Birthday" from the White Album by The Beatles - the best band OF ALL TIME!
