I have a stack of Alcohol ink and foil backgrounds on Yupo - I'm trying to make the pile a little bit smaller by adding them to card fronts.

Fusion: Cheery Eggs

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!

I used the sketch and the colours of the Easter eggs for this card. I used a panel of Yupo coloured with Alcohol inks, then added a circle of vellum with a white embossed sentiment from Papertrey Ink. I finished with some sequins.

Blended rainbow border birthday

This one-layer rainbow has only three colours in it!

I used the Sketched Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I white embossed the image, then blended Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Broken China Distress Oxide inks over it. The orange and green in the rainbow are where the other colours blend together.

Embossing at A Blog Named Hero

The challenge for March/April at A Blog Named Hero is "embossing" - I just adore this background stamp from a recent release by Hero Arts, and I knew as soon as I saw it that I would be using emboss resist with it!

I stamped the Deco Flourish Bold Print in Versamark onto watercolour cardstock, and embossed with Hero Arts gold embossing powder. I then used Zig markers to add greens and blues in particlular places, then sprayed with water. I added an embossed and die cut sentiment from "Smile stamp & cut" also in gold.

Masculine birthday card

I needed some masculine birthday cards - I never have enough!

I used alcohol inks on yupo, with blue foil from Minc, with a die cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
