I love my Zig markers. Love. But because I love them, I tend not to reach for my distress markers as much any more. Fixed that today.
I wanted to use slightly more muted colours today. I used the Floral Mix Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, along with a sentiment die also from Simon Says Stamp, and a sentiment stamp from Birch Press.

Guest designer for The Flower Challenge
I am very excited to be a guest of The Flower Challenge for July!
The challenge this month is "Pretty Pastels"
This is what I came up with:
I used the "Hello Lovely" stamp set from Concord & 9th, white embossed and coloured with Distress Inks and pale Copic markers. I stamped the "lovely" stamp in black and clear embossed it onto a piece of vellum, then added the "hello" embossed onto a piece of pale blue cardstock.
Thanks for visiting! :)

Blue trees
More alcohol inks!
I used a tree die from Poppy Stamps to cut out some glitter cardstock, and added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted.

Sympathy card for A Blog Named Hero
The current challenge at A Blog Named Hero is Sympathy - one of the most difficult cards to make. I tend to gravitate towards blues and greens with sympathy cards, and this colour scheme goes well with dragonflies, I think.
I used the Colour Layering Dragonfly stamp set embossed onto vellum, and coloured it with a copic marker on the back, and Wink of Stella on the front for some shimmer. I mounted it onto a panel of yupo with alcohol inks, adhered over inking using the Spiral stencil and a stamped sentiment from Everyday Sayings.

Guest designer for AAA Birthday Challenge
Hello! Today, I am excited to be a guest designer for AAA Birthday Challenge.
The theme for challenge #3 is "For the girls":
Most of the cards I make are for ladies - I struggle with masculine cards - so this challenge was made for me!
I used a floral border stamp from Studio Katia, white embossed onto watercolour cardstock. I then used the ink smooshing technique to add some Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry. I then added colour to the flowers and leaves using Zig clean color real brush markers in various colours of pink, pale red, orange and grey for the leaves. I added a crisp black sentiment from Clearly Besotted, and I was done!
