February Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero

The February Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge is "Animal Crackers". We want you to make a project with some kind of animal on it!

(In a former life, I was a biology teacher, so there are a LOT of animals to choose from, and not all of them have backbones! Some invertebrate animals are sponges, jellyfish, nudibranchs, earthworms, insects, crustaceans, seastars, the list goes on! Of course, vertebrate animals are a bit more familiar to us - fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. My card today has what I affectionately refer to as a chonky bee!)

Foiled florals

I'm having great fun playing with my Christmas present - a Spellbinder's Glimmer machine!
On these two cards, I paired up products from Spellbinders, PinkFresh Studio, and Paper Rose Studio.

Mosaic lotus for Paper Rose

Today, I'm sharing a card I made using the Mosaic Lotus die from Paper Rose.

I cut the Mosaic Lotus die twice from white cardstock and once from Paper Rose Whisper White shimmer cardstock. I temporarily adhered one of the die cuts to a top folding white card, and ran it through my die cutting machine with the embossing plate so that I got an impression of the die onto the card front. I used this impression as a guide to my Copic colouring on the card base, before layering the three die cuts with the Whisper White on top, and adhering them over the colouring. I finished with a printed sentiment from the Black and White Sentiments set.
