Summer Card Camp - Day 4

Hi, all,

I missed day 3 and 4 of the Online Card Class this week - too busy for my own good!  I've also hurt my back, and had to go to a work conference yesterday, so was sitting all day - not the best for a bad back.  Anyway, I got onto my treadmill this morning to get my back moving a bit, and with some painkillers for good measure, I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday.

Not sure if I'll be able to get another card done today, but I thought I'd take part in the 10 minute challenge - using a card sketch and a colour scheme made things a bit easier!
I got it done in 9 mins 32 secs - I would have had it done more quickly, but I stamped the "happy" too close to the top of the white panel - it's times like these that I'm glad cardstock has two sides!  Flipped it over and stamped again!

I thought I might also submit this card to Moxie Fab's Birthday Card Challenge.
Thanks for visiting!  :)

Summer Card Camp 2 - day 2 - another sketch

I thought I'd try one of the other sketches for week 1 of the Online Card Class, Summer Card Camp 2.

Summer Card Camp 2 - Day 2, card 2!

I wanted to try to use one of the sketches posted on Day 1 of the Online card class this week, and Jennifer McGuire's multi-layered die-cut sentiment trick.  I also used the technique used by Joy Taylor on her card - repeated stamping in a row.  This one is not completely faithful to the sketch, but it's close!  It also started off on a square, kraft card base - but I just couldn't get it to work.  HA Tide Pool looked so much better!!
I added some tiny little green leaves amongst the pink, orange, yellow and blue flowers - it just needed a little extra something, and they're small enough that they don't distract tooooo much from the colour scheme!

Summer Card Class 2 - Day 2, card 1

Hi, all,
had a teeny bit of time to myself today, so I put it to good use - card making!!

Online card classes - Summer Card Camp 2 - Day 1!

Woo hoo!  Another online card class has begun!  I hope to be able to make a few cards for this class, but ny next few weeks are CRAZY busy, so we shall see.

Anyway, I started off today by using the colour scheme for week 1 - white, bright blue, yellow, hot pink and orange.  (I began trying to follow one of the sketches as well, but the card had a mind of its own, and just would not co-operate with the sketch!)

Thanks for visiting - have a lovely day!
