Playing with a technique from class

Kristina Werner used a cool technique in today's Online Card Class - she die-cut white card stock with words and shapes, then coloured a piece of vellum to mount behind the die-cut windows.  I thought I'd give it a go.

 You can't really see it in the photo above, but I coloured the two larger black stars with my Sakura Stardust glitter pen - you can see the glittery goodness below...

Scenic stamping

In the Online Card Class earlier this week, Julie Ebersole (= she of the fabulousness that is Paper Trufflez) showed a technique she called Scenic Stamping.  I gave it a try, but my stamped images didn't really lend themselves to the minimalist colouring that her stamps did, so I coloured the images with Copics instead of watercolouring.

Some more watercolouring

I saw a card by Gillian today that I just had to CASE.  I decided to watercolour it instead of sponging, but I can't wait to get my Tim Holtz marker spritzer to give it another go.

And then I decided to try again, in pinks. Close to the mask, it got a bit purple from the blue on the mask from the first card. 

I'm not sure if I like the blue/green or the pinks better. I think I will try again using watercolour paper - this cardstock warped a bit.

Online class CAS 3 Day 5 graffiti stamping.

I thought I'd give a new techique a go - Shari Carroll calls it Graffiti Stamping. Not exactly my style, but I gave it a go :)

Addicted to CAS - Codeword: Luck

St Patrick's Day is coming up this week, so when I saw the codeword for Addicted to CAS this week was "Luck", the first thing that popped into my head was the luck of the Irish.  The card just seemed to make itself ;)

 I used a heart stamp from a Hero Arts set, and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn. I drew the stem and the grass by hand.
