CAS-ual Fridays: CFC215

Welcome to a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays! 

There is some sad news that comes along with today's challenge - this will be the last challenge at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge (*sniff!*) While this makes me very sad, Michele Gross has softened the blow with an extra special coupon code giving you 20% off your order up until January 1st. I used dies only on this card - I inked up the Merry Christmas Fri-Dies with red ink and used my die cutting machine to emboss the die into the paper rather than cutting, in a faux letterpress technique. I then did the same with the Flurry Fri- Dies but without the ink. I then coloured all the images with my Wink of Stella brush, adhered it all to a red card base (with Wink of Stella around the edge) and added some sequins as a finishing touch.

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Jessica Frost-Ballas

Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2018!

My guest today is Jessica Frost Ballas, and she has challenged me to make a card using alcohol inks and foil.

Here's what I came up with:

I made a yupo panel with alcohol inks and pink foil. I cut it with a stitched rectangle die from Lil' Inkers, and then added a white die cut Christmas tree from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is from Birch Press Design, white embossed onto a strip of black cardstock.

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Anika Lerche

Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2018!

My guest today is Anika Lerche, and she has challenged me to make a card using alcohol ink. You can check out her take on this challenge HERE.

Here's what I came up with:

I made an alcohol ink on yupo panel, and embossed it with the top layer of the radiant ornaments dies from Birch Press. I also cut the top layer out of glitter cardstock, and layered it over the embossed one. I cut a panel and adhered it to the left side of the card, and then I added a sentiment from Mama Elephant "Merry Greetings".

But I couldn't stop there!

 The Peace and Merry dies are from Papertrey Ink, and the "on earth" and "and bright" stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Jenny Martin Rawling

Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2018!

Here's what I came up with:

I cut up a couple of Yupo and Alcohol ink panels into little squares and adhered them to a white card front. I added a sentiment with a die from Birch Press, and a stamp from Simon Says Stamp embossed onto vellum.

Winter at A Blog Named Hero

The new challenge at A Blog Named Hero is "winter" - I went for an icy blue card.

I stamped and white embossed a small circle from the Garden Tile Pattern background stamp from Hero Arts onto watercolour cardstock, and coloured it with Zig markers and a liberal spray of Perfect Pearls in water. I added a white embossed sentiment from Many Birthday Messages onto vellum, and wrapped it around the watercolour panel, before adhering it to a bright blue card base. Some sequiins from Pretty Pink Posh finished the card.
