I had a day free today (yippee!), so I thought I'd get into the craft room and get inky :)
I'm playing along with CAS(e) This Sketch #58, Keep it Simple Anything Goes, and CASE Study #172
Have a great day, and a wonderful New Year's Eve tomorrow - stay safe and have fun :)

My favourite cards of 2013
I hope you have all had a great 2013 - I'm looking forward to good things in 2014 ;)
Here are some of my favourite cards from 2013 (in no particular order, but my particular favourites are larger) - I hope you like revisiting them!
I hope your 2014 holds all you could possibly desire - my wish is that it is happy and healthy - and crafty!! :)

The little mermaid
I made this card a couple of weeks ago at the request of a friend who wanted a 21st birthday card with The Little Mermaid, Ariel, on it.

Last minute gift card holders
Last minute gift wrapping today, so I made these 2 gift card holders as well - one's for my Mum and one's for my brother-in-law.
The first one uses Stampin' Up glimmer paper and Simon Says Stamp's "Perfect Bow" die. I ordered this ages ago hoping to use it in my Christmas crafting, and it arrived yesterday. Oh, well, better late than never! The stamp is from Hero Arts.
This second one also has a Hero Arts stamp, along with paper and a die-cut Santa from Kaiser Craft.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas - I will be home tonight (Christmas Eve) for the first time in 24 years - I've been quite ill the past few days, and so I'm not well enough to sing in the Channel 9 Carols by Candlelight choir this year. This makes me miserable, but I will be watching the Carols from home and wishing my Carols buddies a successful night, and a happy Christmas.

Retro Sketches again!
I'm playing along as a Headliner at Retro Sketches this month - hooray! My card today is based on a sketch from THIS CARD I made for a PaperCrafts publication call. That card used some patterned paper and paper piecing, but I decided to use masking and stamping for this one, so it is a one layer card.
Here's my new take on the sketch:
I used Simon Says Stamp's "Lots of Dots" stamp set, and a sentiment from Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings". I used a HEAP of different inks (17 colours in total, if you count the black!), mostly Hero Arts shadow inks (and Hero Hues black), but also some Stampin' Up inks, and a couple of Distress Inks.
Make sure you visit Retro Sketches and check out what the design team have come up with!
Thanks for visiting - have a great day!

CASEing myself for Kartenchaos!
Have you been keeping up with the Advent Calendar event at Das Kartenchaos? If not, you're missing out! My lovely friend, Christine, is posting a video a day leading up to Christmas, and there is SO MUCH inspiration to be had!
A couple of weeks ago, Christine asked me if she could use one of my cards as inspiration for one of her advent calendar posts - of course, I said yes! What an honour! I decided I would try using the same card as inspiration for my own version - I love how my version and Christine's use the same technique, but are very different!
Here's mine:
This is the card that Christine and I used as our inspiration:
You can find my original blog post of this card HERE.
Make sure you visit Das Kartenchaos to check out Christine's card, and all the rest of the Advent Calendar goodness! There are awesome prizes to be won, too!
