I was supposed to be a part of Lawnscaping's fun Winter Blog Hop today. Due to a brain fade on my part, this post, which I wrote weeks ago, did not go live at the correct time, so is not part of the hop, unfortunately. I sincerely apologise to Laurel at Lawnscaping, and particularly to Heidi H at Stamping, Knitting, Etc, and to Shannon Martel of Shannon's Creations, who were before and after me in the hop.
Please visit Lawnscaping to find the list of hoppers. Make sure to comment on each of the hoppers' posts as there are HEAPS of prizes to be won!! All the details about the sponsors and prizes can be found at Lawnscaping. You have until 11:59pm US Eastern Standard Time on Sunday to leave a comment to be eligible for a prize!
Here's my wintry card:
I used the tree and a snowflake stamp from Lawn Fawn's "Peace, Love, Joy" set, and some patterned paper from the "Peace, Love, Joy" 6X6 paper pad. I also used another snowflake and the sentiment from "Ornate Ornaments". I stamped the snowflakes in white StazOn ink onto acetate, and made this into a window with patterned paper bordering the window. I then stamped the trees in 2 different Hero Arts shadow inks (Soft Pool and Cornflower), and 2 Stampin' Up inks (Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi). I wanted the trees to look like they were on a snowy hill, so I added some Star Dust Stickles to the card front (behind the window), and some Wink of Stella glitter brush to the trees.
Some inks bleed more than others, so you can see that the stripes on some of the trees have been lost, but I quite like the variety it provides!
My sincere apologies to anyone who tried to take part in the hop earlier.
Thanks to Lyndal I thought I'd submit this card to CASE Study #170, CASology CueCard Snowflake Challenge, CASual Friday Let it Snow Challenge, and Simon Says Stamp Let it Snow Challenge.
