Fusion #7
I took AGES to come up with any ideas for this Fusion, but I stuck with it! I modified the sketch a bit (the cut out semi circle to represent the oval, and I skipped the angled rectangle in the background). I used the faded text and the mustard coloured scarf in the photo as my inspiration.
To get the text to look a bit faded, I only inked up the stamp (Stampin' Up "en Francais") in patches (using Colorbox Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan), I used the textured side of some SU watercolour paper, and then I swiped the whole panel in Picket Fence Distress Paint. The panel was cut with Lil' Inkers Designs stitched mat dies - first the square, then the circle. The focal stamp is from "Mimi in Paris" by Penny Black, and the sentiment is from Amuse Art Stamps.
Make sure you hop on over to Fusion to check out what the rest of the design team have made, and to join in on the fun!

ReplyDeleteCute card, love how you worked the lay out! ~Diane
ReplyDeleteI didn't use the sketch for this one, as it didn't appeal to me. The writing, the bricks, and the gold color were my inspiration. This was a tough challenge, but I'm pleased with what I came up with.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorites of inspiration line up!! Clever and adorable!!!
