Two for one cards

 If you know anything about me and my cardmaking, you know I love a good 2 for 1 moment. When I make a panel with stamping, inking, colouring, whatever, if it is all over colour, I like to cut it down so that my card design has plenty of white space. I decided to try a different way of cutting down this panel, and I will be using it again, I think! 

The background stamp I used is from Hero Arts/Basic Gray, but is sadly discontinued (I've linked below to some other background stamps that would work well for cards like these. The sentiments are from Poppy Stamps and Waffle Flower.

Die cuts and stripes for Paper Rose

 Today, I'm sharing a card for Paper Rose Studio.

I cut some white cardstock with the Zen Flower Fine Script Layered Metal Die. I also cut some strips of scrap paper in various shades of blue and blue-green. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday Lovely set in black ink onto a panel of white cardstock at an angle, and cut the panel to match the angle. I adhered the blue-green strips to a white card base on an angle, adhered the die cuts, and then adhered the panel with the sentiment with some foam adhesive. I finished with some domed embellishments.

Create a card foiled cards from Julie Hickey

 I was sent some Create A Card foiled cards from Julie Hickey Designs - thank you Julie! I got out some Copic markers and got to colouring! 

I cut the panels down a little bit because, for the first card, I wanted to mat it on some gold mirror cardstock to match the foiling, and for the 2nd card, the border of the foiled image is intentionally wonky, so I followed the wonky line.

Paint pour background

 I made this card last year - I can only take a fraction of the credit, because the background is an acrylic paint pour made by Michelle Liimatainen of Wild Willow Art.

 

I don't know about you, but to me, the background is giving me Starry Night by Van Gogh vibes!

Rainbow border birthday card for Paper Rose Studio

 I have a rainbow card to share today for Paper Rose Studio.

 

I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide inks on a panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock, then cut it with the Wildflower Border die. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp from the Happy Birthday Lovely stamp set on a side folding white card base, adhered the rainbow die cut, and added some Bubble Bath embellishments from Trinity Stamps.

Paper Glitz over embossing

 I made these cards ages ago after watching a genius video from Jennifer McGuire. She used glitter gel over a panel of cardstock that she'd embossed with an embossing folder. I used Paper Glitz from Picket Fence Studios with an embossing folder from Paper Rose Studio.
