Last weekend, I taught a cardmaking workshop to complete my Altenew Educator Certification Program. I ran the class via Zoom, and there were 15 crafters in the class! These are the two cards I created to share in the class:
For the first card, I created a rainbow of watercolours in the background, and white embossed the Lovely Rose Peony image onto vellum and added more rainbow colour behind the vellum with alcohol markers.
For the second card, I created a rainbow of ink blending on the focal image, and embossed the white background with the Angled mosaic 3D embossing folder. Both cards have the die cut HI sentiment cut from black cardstock and popped up on foam adhesive.
I also made some bonus cards to share, to give my participants some extra ideas in case they didn't have specific products, tools or mediums to create either of these two cards.
Clockwise from top left,
1 I used ink blending in the background and alcohol markers on vellum for the floral image,
2 I masked the floral image and did ink blending in the background,
3 I used watercolours for both the floral image and the background, and
4 I used alcohol inks in the background and alcohol markers on vellum for the floral image.
Participants in my class have generously shared photos of their own creations with me!
Please visit their Instagram accounts and leave them some love!
Many thanks to Erum Tasneem for all of her help and encouragement during my AECP journey!
Thanks for visiting :)
