Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2019! I have asked cardmaking friends to join me in the lead up to Christmas
by challenging me to make a card using a specific style, theme,
technique or product.
My guest for today is Jane Clark of Miss Jane's Classroom. Jane has challenged me to make a card with an Australian theme.
You can check out her take on the challenge HERE.
Here's what I came up with:
I started by ink blending some Hero Arts Field Greens ink around the edges of a white card base. I used the Paper Rose border die called "gum leaf border" but I cut out the gum leaves and arranged them into a wreath. I used the Merry Christmas word die with the shadow over the top, then added some Wink of Stella to some of the leaves.

Color Throwdown 568 Guest Designer
Hello! I am excited to be a guest designer for Color Throwdown for the month of November!
Here's what I came up with:
I started with a white card base and used my Life Changing Blender Brushes to add some Antique Linen Distress Ink to the background. I stamped the cute squirrel with Picket Fence Hybrid black ink, cut him out with the coordinating die and coloured him with Copic markers. I used the Woodsy Forest Die for the trees, and added some leaves using the All Seasons Tree die from Simon Says Stamp. The grass is cut using a die from My Favorite Things.
Thanks for visiting :)

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Lyndal Higgins
Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2019! I have asked cardmaking friends to join me in the lead up to Christmas
by challenging me to make a card using a specific style, theme,
technique or product.
My guest for today is Lyndal Higgins of Ideas and Paper. has challenged me to make a card using die cutting and fussy cutting.
You can check out her take on the challenge HERE.
Here's what I came up with:
I took out the "Happy Christmas" die set from Simon Says Stamp, which cuts out the words and also a narrow shadow. I cut these from glitter cardstock and black, and then layered these onto a pastel rainbow of cardstock, fussy cutting each layer as I went (I even used a craft knife to cut out some of the purple layer between the letters to let some pink show through). I adhered this to a white card with a stripe of glitter cardstock behind it.

A Christmas scene for Picket Fence Studios
This is not exactly a scene I would see in Australia at Christmas time! LOL!
I used the "On a Christmas Walk" stamp set from Picket Fence Studios, with the matching dies along with the "Woodsy Forest Die".

"Nature" at A Blog Named Hero
The latest challenge at A Blog Named Hero is "Nature". I thought this background stamp fit the bill perfectly!
I used the Jungle Bold Prints background stamp, gold embossed onto watercolour cardstock and coloured with Zig markers, water and Perfect Pearls. I added a gold embossed sentiment on vellum using the Hello Stamp & Cut set.
I'll be sharing this at Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge where the theme this week is "Anything Goes"
