Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2019! I have asked cardmaking friends to join me in the lead up to Christmas
by challenging me to make a card using a specific style, theme,
technique or product.
My guest for today is Tristan Dawes of Tinstar Designs. Tristan has challenged me to make a card with trees.
You can check out her take on the challenge HERE.
Here's what I came up with:
I used the Boddington tree border die from Poppy Stamps, and I cut it from 4 different glitter cardstocks from Simon Says Stamp. I used the inlaid die cut technique to fit all of the different colours into the spaces at random. I added the white panel to a matte gold card base, added some strips of the bronze glitter cardstock to the top and bottom, and added a gold embosssed sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Sparkle for A Blog Named Hero
The latest challenge at A Blog Named Hero is "Sparkle" - I've made lots of sparkly Christmas cards in the past couple of months, so I made a birthday card for this challenge.
I like this card design - I can get two cards for the price of one! I white embossed the Flowers for Colouring Bold Prints stamp onto white cardstock, then sprayed it with water, sprinkled with Nuance powders, and sprayed some more. I then sprayed again with Perfect Pearls in water. When dry, I cut the panel in half on an angle and then I added some Star Dust Stickles over some of the flowers. I stamped a sentiment from Many Birthday Messages onto the card front and added a strip of dark pink glitter paper.

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Lisa Stein
Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2019! I have asked cardmaking friends to join me in the lead up to Christmas
by challenging me to make a card using a specific style, theme,
technique or product.
My guest for today is Lisa Stein. Lisa has challenged me to make a tag.
You can check out her take on the challenge HERE.
Here's what I came up with:
I cut the tag from navy cardstock using a die from Papertrey Ink. I then added glitter paste using a stencil from My Favorite Things. I then stamped and coloured a penguin also from MFT, and added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Release day at Picket Fence Studios
Today is release day at Picket Fence Studios! This month's release is so eclectic - something for everyone!
For this card, I used the large stamp "A City in the World" stamped in Picket Fence Studios Black Hybrid Ink. I then coloured it in Copic markers in various shades of blue, pale pink and rust, and added a white embossed sentiment from the set "Charles the Chameleon" on black cardstock.

For my 2nd card, I used the set "Let's Decorate" with the matching dies. I used Zig markers to colour the image, and embossed the sentiment onto vellum.

Simon Says Stamp Love You More
There's a new release at Simon Says Stamp going live TODAY! They were kind enough to send me some cards with pre-printed images - I took one of these and coloured it with a rainbow of Copic markers.
I then decided I needed some details on the hearts, so I added some stardust Stickles in either dots, outlines or stripes.
Thanks for visiting :)
