Challenge me a Christmas Card with Tristan Dawes

Welcome to "Challenge me a Christmas Card" for 2019! I have asked cardmaking friends to join me in the lead up to Christmas by challenging me to make a card using a specific style, theme, technique or product.

My guest for today is Tristan Dawes of Tinstar Designs. Tristan has challenged me to make a card with trees.

You can check out her take on the challenge HERE

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Boddington tree border die from Poppy Stamps, and I cut it from 4 different glitter cardstocks from Simon Says Stamp. I used the inlaid die cut technique to fit all of the different colours into the spaces at random. I added the white panel to a matte gold card base, added some strips of the bronze glitter cardstock to the top and bottom, and added a gold embosssed sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

 Thanks for visiting :)

  1. gorgeous, Michelle - love everything about it!

  2. Wowsers Michelle, this card is stunning. I love the sparkliness. Thanks so much for having me be part of your challenge.

  3. Absolutely beautiful!! Are you saying you inlaid all those little bits with the glitter cs? If so...amazing amount of work!
