Holiday card class and Bloglovin inspiration

When I should have been marking this morning (bad Michelle), I was actually checking out Bloglovin, and found an AMAZING card by the ever-fabulous Julie Ebersole at the Ellen Huston classroom (you can find the specific post HERE).  Julie die-cut a stag from the centre of a wood veneer tag, and coloured the shape with a Copic marker.   I used the same idea, but I wanted a white-washed feel, so I used Picket Fence Distress Marker to colour my die-cut sentiment.
I also tried an idea shown by Jennifer McGuire in the Online Card Class today - make a Z fold card, with a shape overlapping the front fold.  Jennifer also had a banner that extended from the front all the way across the card, so it was continuous when the card was open - I went with 3 rows of washi tape instead.

I'll be submitting this card to Lawnscaping's Sentiment challenge.

PS I have a plan for my exam marking - I mark 50 papers, then I have permission to make a card ;)  We'll see how I go - I know which I would rather be doing!! LOL!
