CASEing a superstar - Linda Trace

This week, I am celebrating my 1000th post to this blog!  YAY!

I'm  celebrating in two ways - firstly, I'm CASEing some of my all-time favourite cards over the next week - ones that I have pinned on Pinterest.  These are from some of my favourite card-making superstars.  Today's CASE is of a card by Linda Trace.


Here's the card I CASEd:


Now, in making my card, I had a die-cut butterfly - I had used the little confetti pieces on my card, but I still had the outline, and you can't just throw something like that away!  So I made another card.
Here's the second way I'm celebrating - I thought I would do a giveaway :) 

I have a bag full of goodies, including things from Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp, Kaisercraft, Stickles, Basic Grey, My Minds Eye, The Twinery, Imaginisce, Pebbles, Prima, Uniball, Kuretake, and a couple of other goodies thrown in for good measure!

    Those butterflies look gorgeous. I really like how the soft colors pop against the black on the first one and the glittery-ness with the lovely background on the second. Wow!

    Gorgeous cards! That butterfly is so beautiful! I love the colors and the sparkle!
    My favorite set of dies is a holiday set of words by Tim Holtz. I think I will get a lot of use out of it.

    Stunning - love both cards! The sentiment as a trail for the butterfly on the first and soft stencilled background on the second are just perfect finishing touches :)

    Sorry my post went funny and wouldnt type any more, my favourite die at the moment is the serendipity 'thanks' just has a nice look to it. Mind you I have so many ts hard to decide.

      You know, I used to avoid butterflies like the plague - and then I got the Hero Arts "Antique Engravings" stamp set and I was a convert! I adore these My Favorite Things "flutter of butterflies" dies - I've got the solid and the lacy set!

    I just love the colors in the butterfly and how it pops against the black! Congrats on 1000 posts... I'm still working on my first 100! my favorite die set.... trough choice... I think it'd be Les Papillions (1&2) as I love to put butterflies on cards and there are so many choices.

    I love the word dies. I use a lot of them on my greeting cards as my handwriting is terrible.
    Using the dies result in a readable sentiment on the cards.

    The butterflies are so pretty Michelle!! Both cards have turned out great, I love when you can make 2 from 1!! Congratulations again on your fantastic feat, 1000 is quite an achievement. :D
