My favourites of 2015

Just a quick note to say a big huge thank you to everyone who drops by my blog, my You Tube channel, my Facebook page, my Instagram and my Twitter feed - whether you just stop by for a look, or you leave me a message, I appreciate your support.
Each year, I post a snapshot of some of my favourite cards from that year. These may have been posted here, or on A Blog Named Hero, or at the Fusion challenge, or at the CASual Fridays blog.  I like the fact that my favourite cards do not fit a specific style - most are Clean and Simple, but some are not.  Many are colourful, some are monochromatic.  I've been lucky enough to use a wide variety of tools and media in my cards, and stamps from some absolutely fabulous companies.

 I used stencils a lot:

And Copics a bit:

 There was watercolouring:

There was Distress Ink blending all over the place:

There were dies:

And stamps:

But, mostly, there was a whole heap of fun!
I wish you a happy and healthy 2016 - I hope to see you back again for more crafty fun in the new year!

Thanks for visiting :)

And I made a video for you, too!

One more Christmas card

Last Christmas card for this year!

I used the Hero Arts Peace Poinsettia stamp set, stamped onto Ranger watercolour paper, then coloured with Faber Castell Gelatos and blended with some baby wipes and my fingers!  I cut the panel down with a stitched squares die from Lil' Inkers Designs.  I added some vellum over the top, with the words "and bright" stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then cut some Stampin' Up foil paper with the Winnie and Walter "Merry" word die, and attached it an the vellum with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.  A few Simon Says Stamp sequins were the finishing touch.
Have a very Merry Christmas - see you next week!

A special card for a special celebration

It's not every day that you're asked to make a 65th wedding anniversary card.  But my friend from choir, Denise, gave me a special commission last week.  This is what I created:

Christmas gift tags

I made some very quick Christmas tags today:

I used a tag topper punch from Stampin' Up, and then stamped the Merry Christmas from "Big Scripty Greetings Holiday" from Simon Says Stamp, and white embossed it.  I used my Ranger ink blending tool to add some circles of colour in Evergreen Bough and Festive Berries Distress Inks.  Some ribbon and twine from my stash, and handwritten To and From completed the tags.
